Chapter 18

~ Buffy ~

-          I hate this rope., I said to Karlie as the teacher went to work with some other people.

-          Use your arms., she said to me.

-          You can! I mean you got arms! I got bones!, I said showing my small muscles.

-          I can’t help how I look. I just got a four pack., Karlie joked.

-          Four pack? Aren’t they six packs?, I asked laughing.

-          Yeah but look! I only got four. I drunk two., she said while showing her stomach.

-          I must have been thirsty. I drunk four., I said looking at mine.

-          Girls can you please stop comparing tans and continue climbing., our teacher called out from the other end of the hall.

-          Tans my ass., I said as Karlie started to laugh.

-          Guys come over here!, Bek called out who was on the beam trying to do some gymnastics.

-          What up?, Karlie asked as we ran over.

-          How crap is that? I mean that is fuck up!, Bek asked pointing over to Lisa and some of her friends who were working on cheers for physical education.

-           Go team go!, I said starting to do a silly dance which Karlie joined in on.

-          Go team!, Karlie shouted before doing a back flip.

-          Girls please! You are distracting the other students., the teacher said looking over at us.

-          How come they don’t have to do this Miss?, Dee called out.

-          They have proven that they can do it., the teacher said shaking her head.

-          Show us then! I think it is unfair that we have to do this while they get to cheer., Dee said.

-          You think you can do better?, Lisa asked walking over to us.

-          I think we can!, I said leaning on the beam.

-          Wanna prove her wrong?, Bek asked.

-          Fine! Let’s go! You four against four of us. The rope; the beam; the mat and the bike., Lisa said looking like she was going to fume with anger.

-          No something harder!, Karlie said as she stopped Lisa before she went to tell her friends the deal.

-          Excuse me?, she said looking at Karlie who continued.

-          Each person has to go around the course. The bike for 3 miles, the run across to the beam, do 5 types of tricks, go to the mat and do 5 different tumbles of sorts then the rope, got to climb at least half way up.

-          You’re kidding me?, Lisa asked trying to laugh.

-          That way it proves that each person can do it. If you win, go on cheering! If you loose, well sorry, you will have to drop the pom-pom for the rest of the semester., Karlie said smiling.

-          Lisa! If you want… you can do the course four times if your pals can’t handle it., I called out as Lisa walked back towards her friends.

* After The Little Competition *

-          “We are the champions my friend; And we’ll keep on fighting till the end; We are the champions; We are the champions.”, we all sung as we got changed.

-          Girls!, Our PE said walking up to us as we just started a towel fight and flicking each other with the towels.

-          Sorry Miss! It won’t happen again!, Dee said trying not to laugh.

-          You girls did well! Finally some people to show those girls up., she said smiling.

-          “We did well.”, I sung to myself as I walked towards my car.

-          Babe!, Steve called out running up to me.

-          Hey what’s up?, I asked after I kissed him.

-          Nothing! I just wanted a kiss., he said winking at me.

-          You are a weird one boy!, I laughed.

-          But you think it’s cute!

-          You know it is. I gotta go. Karlie and I have got some ideas and must run over them., I smiled.

-          Need any help?, Steve asked me.

-          Na not right now. But later on… I wanna go over thing’s with Karlie before we reveal our idea. I’ll call you when I get home., I said kissing him again.

-          Bye!, Steve said.

-          Bye!, I said before getting in my car.

* At Karlie’s Place *

-          You think you can do this?, she asked me.

-          You bet!, I said as I plugged in the keyboard.

-          Well what are we going to do?, Karlie asked sighing as she strummed her guitar.

-          I have no idea. Dude why I have to be stuck with the keyboard!, I said as I mucked around on the keyboard.

-          Shut it Buff! Well there is a few idea’s that I have… but this is more your area., Karlie said laughing.

Karlie and myself were sharing a few ides that we had. I knew it was sneaky of us, but that’s us and people got to deal with it, if they don’t like it. Anyways, a couple of hours later, I headed off back home, because if was getting later and I had a lot of home work to do.

But in a second though, I decided that I do headed off somewhere, because deep down, I didn’t feel like going home. I turned my car around and headed towards another direction.

-          Hello!, I said as Steve opened the door to his house.

-          I thought you were going to call., he said giving me a hug.

-          I was having such a good afternoon. So I decided I came straight here., I said smiling.

-          It went well I guess?, Steve asked me.

-          Brilliantly!, I said laughing before I continued.

-          But the question is: Now anyone home?
