Chapter 35

~ Bek ~

-          Did everyone get some points for the debate that was forming on Friday?, our teacher asked as I walked into the classroom.

-          Sir did you hear about the accident on the weekend?, one student asked.

-          A student got hit by a car?, he asked.

I sat there just listening to what everyone was saying. Some were on Buffy’s side, others on Natasha.

-          That Angela girl had it in for her since the start., the girl I argued with on Friday said.

-          Explain Melissa., our teacher said sitting on his desk.

-          That Angela girl has been on her back for a while., she said.

-          Do you know why? Rumors says that Natasha chick cheated on a friend’s little brother., a guy in the back said.

-          No way! Natasha wouldn’t., Melissa said when I knew I had enough and tired of listening to the crap.

-          Would you just shut up and think before you open your gob!, I blurted out knowing I had enough and couldn’t to the crap.

-          Excuse me?, Melissa said staring at me.

-          You want the truth? How’s this for truth! You waste of a human being! One of my best friend’s is in the hospital because your so called friend wanted to scare her by following her but just can’t drive good enough and actually hit her?, I said quietly but sternly while my hands shook with anger.

-          Sorry?, she asked confused.

-          Here’s your facts! Natasha did cheat on Clay if you must know. That’s why they broke up. Don’t believe me? Go ask Buffy or Karlie or hell even Dee who saw Natasha in bed with one of Clay’s ex friends. Not only that want to know how low she is? Her little brother was told to pick on Buffy’s little brother because she can’t handle the crap that she would see how her Buffy’s little brother feels!, I said staring at her not letting her get away with what she said.

-          I’m sorry., she said looking down.

-          Look sir, it’s some facts for your debate. Maybe the two girls were both wrong. Maybe one shouldn’t have pushed the wrong buttons, but define the wrong to the two girls and see what they say. Arguments would be a whole lot simpler to solve if there was only one person to blame. Now if you would excuse me…

-          Rebekah!, the teacher called out as I walked out of the classroom.

I kept walking until I got to where we normally sat for lunch. I put my bag on the ground and started to climb the tree. When I finally got to the branch Buffy normally sat in I just looked around me.

-          Is the rest of the branch taken?, a familiar male voice said from the ground.

-          Hi Steve., I said shocked to see him.

-          I saw you kind of run past the class room so I excused myself., he said while climbing up to join me.

-          Yeah. They are doing debate’s in class and they decided Buffy verse Natasha was a good topic., I sighed.

-          Oh I see., Steve said looking around him.

-          You do that you gotta be strong for her.

-          Why?, I asked.

-          She needs you guys to be there. She can’t defend herself in hospital. She needs you and Dee to do something. I mean… she won’t admit it though., he said looking at me.

-          Steve, I can stand up for her. No problems, but the fact that this little high school war has gone terribly wrong. It ain’t right…

-          You think you’re the only one going over this?, he asked.

-          I know I ain’t.

-          Look… the past is the past. Deal with it., he shrugged.

-          It took this to make me realize most the school thinks we are bitches…

-          You always knew, but just didn’t want to accept it., Steve laughed.

-          True!, I laughed.

-          Look, you guys are great and people know that. It’s that they know if they stuff round with one of you, the wrath of the four judges.

-          Isn’t it ten?, I asked laughing at him.

-          Historian., Steve muttered.

After school, the girls and myself decided to pay another visit to Buffy to see how she been up to. Ever since she woke up, she had been herself, but she still had some hard time to move around. Beside that, I knew that I had to tell her about what happen in my class that morning. I mean she can’t defense herself like Steve said, so she had the right to know what happen. I walked into Buffy’s hospital room to see her reading a big book of paper.

-          Bek a Dee in da house!, I said so she knew I was there.

-          OH hey Bek!, Buffy said before going back to the paper.

-          What cha reading?, I asked.

-          You never believe it., she said laughing.

-          Shoot!

-          A contract, she said with a huge smile on her face.

-          Why are you so happy?, I asked.

-          Is Dee going to be around later?, she asked me.

-          She is down stairs with Karlie grabbing a bite to eat., I said pointing my thumb towards the door.

-          Oh aight!, she said with another huge smile.

-          Want to fill me in yet?

-          Angela? One of your friends?, an old man asked as he walked into the room.

-          John this is one of them. In fact this is Bek., Buffy answered.

-          Rebekah I’m guessing?

-          Hi! How are you sir?, I said confused.

-          Looks like a party in here., Dee said walking in.

-          Buffy I thought I told you to leave to men alone., Karlie said smiling.

-          You have got to be Karlie., John said to her.

-          Yup! And the other one is Dee., Buffy said.

-          Well now you going to tell us what’s going on?, I asked.

-          Sit grab the sticks and play., John said.

-          Okay?!, Karlie said slowly.

-          Just play Karlie., Buffy said to her as she strummed her guitar.

-          Hit it!, Buffy said as Karlie started to play a song.
