Welcome to my design page.
This is where I show all the
reasons my page is like it is.
First let’s enter the Blair zone, it’s like the Sandburg
zone,
but not as cluttered
Purpose of the Site
The purpose of this site is to share my love of that fantastic Tv show The Sentinel who has a totally adorable Guide in it
Target Audience
The Target Audience are fellow Sentinel fans who are craving some Fan Fiction
and have come to my peaceful oasis to read some good stories (at least I hope they are) and maybe discover a link they have not seen before.
Content
My Page is designed so there is no need for the viewer to
feel like a rat in a maze. The front page is an introduction from me, a message
from me to let them know if the page has been updated and what, and from there,
they can chose what page they wish to visit, Stories, Links, Personal, etc
and go from there. There should be no reason for them to go through the
Personal Page to get to the Story Page. The Story Page is also Updated, with
the new story being at the top and with a flashing New sign on it as well.
Structure/ Organisation
This area is not as hard. Thanks to the advance features
of Word2000, it is very easy to keep the File structure intact in this way. All
files, images, etc that are connected to a page, are stored in their own folder.
Navigation
Personally I believe this to be VERY important. My Web Page
is designed to be very friendly. There are links back on the bottom of each
page, as well as very few links within links. I don`t like the idea of losing
people on my Page, it makes it rather difficult to make sure everyone is out
before I lock up for the night, so I try to have a few curves as possible, what
you see is what you get.
Page Layout and Content
I have tried to keep the page layout and content as basic as
I could. There has to be room for animations and pretty pictures as this is a
homepage, and my homepage is with it. Due to some people having limited computers I have not put a large amount of pictures, I have not as yet not created a picture gallery, but it will be added at
a future date, as most visitors to my site will not be worrying about downloading
so much.
External links
All the sites I have linked to are very stable. They have
been around for some time, or I am on an e-mail list which would notify us if
there is a change. The links page is designed to help new and old Sentinel Fans
to find what they are looking for.
Overall
All pictures as such have been obtained with permission or
were on the web in a few section to start with. I have tried my best to proof
read the page, and have continually asked for comments and advice over the
page, so if you have any, then please don't hesitate to e-mail me.
