First Lady—Third Rate Advice

Bill Clinton ignored terrorist attacks in 1993, 1995, 1996, 1998, and 20009/10/02—In an incredible kick in the teeth to America's future, First Lady Laura Bush is asking parents to turn off the television on Sept. 11 and instead read to their children and perhaps light a memorial candle. ``Don't let your children see the images, especially on Sept. 11, when you know it'll probably be on television again and again -- the plane hitting the building or the buildings falling,'' Mrs. Bush said.

Light a candle? Our kids' future enemies are "lighting" other items, such as American flags and American effigies. They are taught to hate America and to kill Americans.

Do we want our kids to stick their heads into the Saudi sand?

If you want to read to the kids, read what this Saudi cleric had to say about America:

I am against America until this life ends, until the Day of Judgment...My hatred of America, if part of it was contained in the universe, it would collapse...She is the root of all evils and wickedness on earth...Oh Muslim Ummah don't take the Jews and Christians as allies...Muslim Brothers in Palestine, do not have any mercy, neither compassion on the Jews, their blood, their money, their flesh. Their women are yours to take, legitimately. God made them yours. Why don't you enslave their women? Why don't you wage jihad? Why don't you pillage them?"— Saudi cleric Shaikh Saad Al-Buraik who ran a two-day telethon that raised $109 million for blood money to pay to the families of the homicide bombers.

Now there is some good reading Mrs. Bush. The kids are not too young at any age to be taught there is evil.

In Iran, half the population is under 16 years old; 67% of the population is under the age of 25. Our kids will face future enemies that will have more missiles, more dangerous bio-weapons, and as much or greater evil in the world as what we have today. Teaching kids to turn away is teaching them to accept a future holocaust.

Grow up, Mrs. Bush—and let our kids grow up to be vigilant.
