IF THERE WEREN'T ANY BLACKS YOU'D HAVE TO INVENT THEM (1974)

In 1974 Richard appeared in an LWT production called "If There Weren't any Blacks You'd Have To Invent Them" in which he played a white transvestite who was made into a scapegoat for British prejudice by a a blind man who insisted Richard's character was black. The blind white supremacist was played by Leonard Rossiter, who had to play out the deep seated fears of his character, who being blind worried that he himself might actually be black. The piece, written by Johnny Speight and directed by Bill Hays, was broadcast on the 3rd of March.

I currently have no more information on this production and would appreciate any facts anyone can provide about it... especially from anyone who knows where I can get hold of a copy.
