The final series of Rising Damp, completed after Richard left the cast, can finally be purchased on a video which features all six episodes: Hello Young Lovers, Fire And Brimstone, Great Expectations, Pink Carnations, Under The Influence and Come On In The Water’s Lovely. . It is certificate PG and lasts approximately 143 minutes.

In the 4th series, Rigsby’s long suffering lodger Alan has, incredibly, become a fully-fledged doctor and has flown the nest to try out his dubious medical skills on an unsuspecting practice.
So now it is just Rigsby and his two long-term inmates - the genteel, fluttering, fading violet Ruth and the suave African Chief’s son Philip. In Alan’s absence, one or two other lodgers take up temporary residence in Rigsby’s awful accommodation - some more brief than others!

This final series is a fitting tribute to the original cast of Rising Damp and although Richard as one of the main characters was sadly missed from the cast, the final episodes still live up to the high standards previously set.
