togetherness in Tobago
In the sun, in the news, in happy holiday mood with their wives, that's John and Ringo in Tobago.Journalists are a set of people who're always getting the cold shoulder. Well, they're kind of sneaky and always want to know all your secrets. Trend is just the same, but, let's face it, we're only curious and sneaky so we can put you in the picture about what's happening in the young world.
One of the hardest varieties of people to hunt down are Beatles. They fly off to distant sunny places, and pretend they've gone in the other direction. This time, however, although it meant a climb to survey the beach - up in a palm tree and a couple of pairs of ripped trousers and laddered nylons - our brilliant team managed again to bring these great exclusive pictures your way.
A few thing happened during this recent meeting, whch we reckon might well make history. John Lennon actually apologised for being late. Ringo wanted to know what the speed of film was in his camera. And John actually, politely, asked what they were wanted to do. They answered questions, readily fulfilled every request without a murmour and wthout any Beatle wisecracking.
The sun had obviously gone to the two Beatle brains, and those of their pretty wives, Cynthia and Maureen. The only explanation that could account for this Public School polish.
They were tanning beautifully and all their attention had gone into showing where their sunglasses had rested on their noses and where their costumes ended. And yet John and Ringo suggested that we could actually put some oil on them while they were processing the pictures.
Then we decided to disappear and leave the happy couples to the mercy of the sun's rays, and the last we saw of John was that he was ducking Cyn under the water by grabbing her ankles. And Ringo was lifting his shades to give Maureen a very special kiss.
One of the advantages of working like millionaires is that you can always play that way, too.
