Things you should know before reading this... Lu died, Tiph found out, and was devastated. Pretty simple.

The Aftermath

Tiph Nightshade: ::Tiphareth was perched in the window seat of their bedroom, Damian cuddled against her chest. Her eyes had returned to the very faintest of blue hues, the palest of azures, and they glowed painfully brightly, as she stared unseeing through the pane::

DarianNightshade: ::Darrian was whistling to himself in the bathroom, covered from collarbones to almost the bridge of his nose in a white foamy shaving cream. Deft, confident strokes with the four inch straight razor sheared swathes of caramel in the pale cream::

Tiph Nightshade: ::Every now and then a single glowing sapphire tear dripped onto Damian's head, and she wiped it away with an absent hand. He was being still for the moment, and for that she was endlessly grateful. The armored suit dug into her toned flesh but she was less than aware of it; all she could feel now was the ache that clutched at her heart. Pale moonlight sifted through tree branches and cast a dim light onto her tear stained cheeks::

DarianNightshade: ::He smiled a radiant smile as he stepped out of the bathroom and strolled over to Tiph, in his usual Black and Crimson towel. Gently stroking his now perfectly smooth cheek against hers from behind..:: Hi there sweet thing

Tiph Nightshade: Hi baby ::She half moaned, her voice wavered slightly as she turned and buried her face in his shoulder, one arm around Damian and the other wrapping it's way to Darrian's back as she trembled::

DarianNightshade: ::He blinked slowly..:: Wow.. wonderful day I take it? ::He tried to chuckle a little bit, to lighten the mood that was now rapidly turning into a big old pile of shit..::

DarianNightshade: ::He smelled Zest Fully Clean::

Tiph Nightshade: ::She pulled back and wiped her tears away stubbornly, her head lying weakly against the wall now, turning to dangle her legs toward the ground and face the center of the room:: Oh yeah.. ::the sarcasm dripped off her voice::

DarianNightshade: Good then... ::He avoided the sarcasm in her voice, and hopped away from her, whipped off his towel and ran around the room streaking and yelling:: Hallelujah ::at the top of his lungs until he remembered his little Armani Clad son was in the room, and dove for the bathroom, before slapping on a pair of tight ass spandex shorts, and getting ready for training::

Tiph Nightshade: ::She blinked and her mouth fell open.. crossing her legs beneath her she just sat and stared, holding Damian lightly in her shaking arms; the growling in her stomach nagged at her occasionally but she didn't bother to eat anything::

DarianNightshade: ::Darrian pulled out a roll of Athletic tape, and began to slowly, very carefully tape his fists up..:: You look.. shocked.. Nothing you haven't seen, or had in you before sweetie..

Tiph Nightshade: I know I just.. ::she laid her forehead on her knees after setting Damian down on the bench next to her:: I just talked to him last night. He was here, sitting with me and Damian on the couch last night.

DarianNightshade: What? Who... ::Darrian clenched his fists slightly, and reached for his shotgun, which seemed to always be in reach of him.. at least most of his guns seemed to be around at all times..:: I will kill them!

Tiph Nightshade: You don't know? ::Her voice incredulous, as she raised her head and peered at him through a blur of tears::

DarianNightshade: Who did it? ::Teeth gritted, eyes narrowed dangerously.. no one just walks into the house of Nightshade, and starts shit with his loved ones.. no one.::

Tiph Nightshade: You don't understand. Lu's dead Darrian... killed today, and he was just here. ::her voice was tinged with pain; she set her feet back on the ground and scooped up Damian to nuzzle against her chest again, seeming to draw a small comfort from his presence::

DarianNightshade: ::Darrian blinked once, then turned to move himself to the training room.. "You thought he had a loss, but all he did was shrug it off, yeah you saw him.. Shrug it off.." He clenched his fists so hard, the wrappings broke on the way to training::

Tiph Nightshade: Don't leave me alone right now.. ::her desperate pleading whisper, as she sunk back into the corner and cried into her hands, Damian having wriggled free to bounce on the cushiony seat beside her::

DarianNightshade: ::And then.. BOOM.. They had a chamber door.. Darrian's fists made pretty quick work of the hard english Oak, and he continued to move on, her pleas falling on almost deaf ears..::

Tiph Nightshade: Fuck me ::she muttered, opening the window and kicking out the screen. She turned to Damian and chanted the freezing spell, so he would be safe, and, unfurling her massive wings, away she soared, flying faster and faster, the wind whipping over her pale face, wringing the tears from her eyes. She called Masamune, if for no other reason than she never left without them, and clutched them in trembling hands, her knuckles white on the hilts::

DarianNightshade: ::The next thunderous chash was some odd amount of vaulable decor being shatterd by the man's steely fists.. Darrian was beyond gone now.. Next went a wall, then a window.. His hands were shattered, bloodied, and had various pieces of wall and glass and ceramic stuck in them, but his destructive urges were no where near abated..::

Sephiroth Enigma has entered the room.

Sephiroth Enigma: ::Tiphareth's flight was suddenly interrupted by the endlessly calm presence of her partner hovering before her, not bothering to make use of his wings, which weren't showing anyway. He just kinda hung there and looked at her, as if waiting an explanation::

Tiph Nightshade: Ack!! ::She would have screeched to a halt, had air travel provided the means for it, at any rate, she'd barely stopped by reaching a distance of about an inch away from him. She raked back stinging tears and almost sobbed:: What do you want?

Sephiroth Enigma: ::He took her shoulders and gently eased her back about a foot, non expression in his face as his glowing eyes locked onto hers:: Something troubles my partner? ::A slight quirk of his brow accompanied his queery::

DarianNightshade: MOTHER FUCKER!!!!!!!! ::Bellowed at the top of Darrian's definitely healthy lungs, he slammed his fist through the steel door to his training room, and then wrenched the door clear off the hinges and hurled it through the wall next to his room, shattering masonry, and shaking the house itself::

Tiph Nightshade: ::She looked to the ground, countless feet beneath them, and released a shuddery sigh. She didn't bother to explain her troubles, for he already knew. She choked as she looked back up to him and gave up trying to hide her sobbing::

Sephiroth Enigma: ::He softened, though it was hardly visible, and embraced her gently after wiping away the tears that remained.:: Now, does a soldier act this way? ::He chastized gently, before releasing her:: I think someone back at your manor may need you more than you need me right now...

DarianNightshade: ::He grabbed a rack of weights, and threw them into a wall, and then began to fling them at the roof, shattering the cieling tiles, in a shower of brick and laminate to pepper his hair, and face. This only served to enrage him more, and he began to swing at a heavy support beam, in hopes of shattering it::

Tiph Nightshade: ::She nodded, wondering how she would deal with anything without him, and kissed his cheek lightly, whispering her thanks:: We'll talk later Seph.. ::she turned and was on her way back, flying so quickly that her form became a blur to the eye. She appeared suddenly in the training room and threw back the chestnut tresses that marred her vision::

DarianNightshade: ::His head flung back in a scream of primal fury before he hooked the support one last time, and it splintered. The cieling began to cave in and he dived at Tiph, shoving her out of the room, as it collapsed on his small frame::

Tiph Nightshade: ::She tried to scream but her voice faltered, and the only sound that would issue from her trembling lips was a gasp of complete horror. She sunk into a sobbing mess on the floor and made no motions, trying to deny the voice in the back of her mind that was tauntingly whispering that another one dear to her was dead::

DarianNightshade: ::With another scream of hate, Darrian rose like the proverbial Demon from the ashes, roaring up from the refuse he was piled under, and befan to fling the scraps of his training room around, still bellowing his rage at the world::

Tiph Nightshade: ::She heard the clatter and forced herself up, literally, having to jam the end of one Masamune into the ground and haul herself up by pulling on first the blade, effectively slicing up her hands, and then the handle itself, bloodying the black materia that gleamed menacingly at it's tip. She took no notice of her mangled hands, but walked shakily to Darrian and clutched his wrists tightly, begging him to stop::

DarianNightshade: ::He growled a soft menacing growl, his eyes gleaming brightly like emeralds dipped in acid, and left to dry in the fall out of an atomic explosion. One wrist, then the other were wrenched free from her grasp, and he simply flung her aside, by far too gone to even reaize who it was, much less their honestly good intent::

Tiph Nightshade: ::Flung aside, she lost her balance and found herself landing in a pile of debris and cried out sharply, the jagged edge of something digging into the small of her back. Tears slipped freely from her eyes, a result of more than one sense of pain that was pounding into her. She rose shakily again, refusing to give up, and walked to face him, taking ahold of his shoulders and practically screaming into his face. What she said, she hardly knew, only that she was pleading he see her and stop, moaning as her strength diminished:: You think this only affects you baby but it doesn't, stop this please..

DarianNightshade: ::His hard cold face softened slightly, and he sagged to tattered knees. Bringing the palms of his practically destroyed hands to his face he shook with anger.. Darrian needed Lu for more reasons than companionship. Lu was one of the few people that could keep him from freaking.. Black blood trickled down his cheeks, but wasn't even close to regarded by the Shadow Walker, who instead raised hollow, almost dead eyes to the destruction wrought by yet another display of total lack of self control. Darrian choked back a sob, stood and turned away from everyone, and strode into the rubble, searhed about for a moment, and tugged up a ring. He grimaced with mental anguish as he crushed the signet ring of the Kingdom of Watchman. Darrian's relation's with that Fifedom were now forever rendered inactive as far as he was concerned, he had no more place there.. Another choked sob, and he left the tattered remains of his house::
