I like this log for a couple reasons, it was the first time I really RPed after a while, and at the same time, the first chance I had to RP with Gryphy-mun, whom we all call Gryphy anyway. Read up. ^_^

Gryphon Asagiri: ::A loud crash issued from upstairs, falled quickly by a muffled groan, and a few swears. Moments later, the door to one of the various rooms opened, and out shuffled a disheveled, robed Gryphon.. He meandered over to one of the chairs, and waited patiently for a waiter to take his order for breakfast::

Gryphon Asagiri: ::As the man brought him his usualy dish, he placed the sheath of some odd weapon upon the table; he'd always carried that balde, even if it had been an antiquity, and a hindrance at times. MEssily, and unceremoniously, he devoured the dish set before him--not having eaten for a few months always made him a tad gluttonous; which was displayed as he ordered a few more courses.::

Dauthi Watchman: ::Dauthi sauntered in having heard about th place. It had been far too long since she had visited Tiph, her now sister in law, but longtime friend. SHe was dressed in her normal attire, her black suede duster flowing around her petite form as she moved, Peeking out from beneathe it a pale blue tanktop, and black leather pants, her long, curly, raven tresses cascaded down her back from beneathe the black Stetson cowboy hat perched atop her head. As she moved into the room a soft jingle could be heard as the spurs on her black boots grazed the floor. She stopped just a few feet inside the door, those large sapphire pools perusing the room for Tiph..Hello?

Gryphon Asagiri: ::He jumped a bit, surprised at teh sound that had broken the all-encompasing silence. Drawing upon his fine command of the English language, he yelled out:: Ack!!

Tiph Nightshade: ::Tiphareth eased the front door open, and rubbed a bit of sleep from her eyes. A rather hurried wave of her hand, and the lights simultaneously came on, and the previously dark and eerily quiet tavern seemed to come alive just from her presence. She walked casually over to her usual seat, and sat unceremoniously down; the table was a little to the left of the room's center. Rolling her head about a bit, after a satisfying crack of her neck, she let her gaze wander over to the.. obviously hungry man, enjoying his meal. She had never seen him before, but strangers in her tavern weren't something that particularly bothered Tiphy. The prussian oculars radiated their perpetual stream of Mako poison, flaring up for a moment, and settling back down again, seemingly all of their own accord. Finding as well, that Dauthi had managed to find her way to the Tavern, she smiled and canted her head toward her sister in law and smiled:: Dauthi, it's been seriously way too long. How are you? Hows the baby? I'm so relieved to see you're well. I feel so bad for having to leave in the middle of everything. ::With that the smile faded and she sighed quietly, turning her eyes down, toward the table's center::

Gryphon Asagiri: ::His eyes darted between the two of them, as he watched their language, verbal and otherwise. Always the curious, nosey type, he left all memories of his meal, as he overtly watched and listened. ::

Gryphon Asagiri: ::deciding to not remain altogether too quiet, he stood from his seat and gathered the dishes, causing a bit of racket. Gracelessly, he teetered over to the kitchen, and set them down, but avoiding the back-room entirely; as he was afraid he might be yelled at if he intruded upon that domain. The time of day didn't matter much to this perpetual drinker; he flaunted his specialties, and ordered a bottles of Sake from the tender. As he say himself upon the stool he relished i nthe odd looks that purveyed from the keep, but he relented, and soon returned with the aforementioned item, which the boomer eagerly began to drink from::

Dauthi Watchman: ::Dauthi's eyes narrowed at the ravenous man and his reation to her, she spoke softly but a single word:: Problem? ::she then turned on her heal at the sound of Tiphy's voice smiling, although her eyes were a bit duller then usual. She meandered over to the table where Tiph sat, and pulling out an oaken chair she plopped down with a wince and an *oof* and kicked her feet up on the tabletop:: I know Sis I was just thinking the same thing, far too long, Cheyenne is fine thank you. Perfect now that her lungs have developed. Thanks to Darri. How is he Tiph? How is Damien? Tell me what's been going on..

Tiph Nightshade: ::The satiny luster of her armored suit was as flawless as ever it had been, the thick onyx material clinging to her every toned inch, accentuating the curves and muscle. Her hair was it's usual, long, thick and perfectly straight as it fell neatly over her shoulders and mid way down her back, like a warmly shaded mahogany curtain of sorts. She fretted over the family's drifting apart somewhat, but didn't make mention of it any more so than she had already. Swallowing once, she crossed her arms one over the other, right on top, and likewise the stark Roman numeral "2" stood bold and black against the ivory backdrop of her pallid hand, for all the world to see and wonder over.:: Sadly.. I haven't spoken to Dar since I left him there stitching you up. Things have been insane for me lately..

Gryphon Asagiri: ::As if to punctuate that remark, a loud commotion came from the back room Apparantly, the slightly tipsy boomer had gotten into a barrel of sake in the storeroom. His face peeked out of the door, then, seeing no one watching, he returned to his work::

Gryphon Asagiri: ::He now walked, straight as an arrow, and sober to boot--how he managed that one even he didn't truly know--back to his chair. Muttering something along the lines of 'Yes sir..' he sat back down, heaving a slight sigh::

Dauthi Watchman: ::Dauthi nodded understanding, and reached over to hug Tiph cringing as she did, the skin over her hands, which she had just now removed from her deep duster pockets, was nearly transparent. She smiled wanly:: I know what you mean Tiph..Lu left the next day ::she looked away for a moment: I haven't seen him since....::As if to quickly change the subject Dauthi turned her sapphire orbs back to the bar.:: Nice place Tiphy....

Tiph Nightshade: ::Tiphy blinked slowly, and half turned, quirking up a brow at the sudden noise coming from the back. She assumed that everything was all right, and turned her attention back to Dauthi. Those alien twins looked to be glazed over, saddened somewhat, and her fair face was void of pretty much all color. Tiphy didn't exactly look perfectly healthy at this point, and it would arouse a little suspicion as to just what had been going on since she had made her sudden exit, without so much of a word wasted in parting... where had she gone, and why had it been so urgent..? But she wasn't all too forth coming with any of that, and perked up a bit with the subject change. She sure as hell wasn't all that willing to discuss the absent Darrian angle.:: Just a little place I like to retreat to.. And it's endlessly more peaceful than that nasty little public bar where the rest of the rabble fester and thrive...

Gryphon Asagiri: ::he stifled a laugh as his drinking endeavours were continued, but it was in vain; as a snicker escaped, so did a few volumes of the sake. He looked up in alarm, and sighed in relief as he saw no one had witnessed his second foul up::

Dauthi Watchman: ::Dauthi sighed. She wanted to ask TIph what was going on, the two having been to hell and back together, but she knew Tiph, and that uncomfortable look she had. Thinking to herself Tiph's problems must rival her own, she let it go..for now, perhaps she might find a better time to tackle that subject, she turned her head back to the where the clatter had come from:: Hey Tiph who the hell is that?

Tiph Nightshade: Um.. honestly I have no idea.. Some guy.. ::She trailed off a bit and then fell silent, eyes flitting over to the man once again sitting in his chair. She pushed the nail on the thumb of her right hand into the fleshy tip of her index finger, idly at first, and then with more and increasingly more force, until she broke skin and a sudden spurt of shining blue blood gushed over the thumb and splattered onto the table. Tiph had apparantly been completely unaware of anything going on until she registered the soft *pat pat* sounds of the azure vitae hitting the smooth finish of the table.:: Holy shit!! ::She stared at her bloodied finger, not even remembering cutting it at all.. and stuck it into her mouth, glowering at herself and her clueless, distant mood.::

Gryphon Asagiri: ::Out of the corner of his eyes, he'd seen the vignette, and shivered inwardly as he took a finishing gulp of sake::

Gryphon Asagiri: ::With one overly-large framed arm, he hefted a pack onto the table, and rummaged through his belongings, all the while calling out:: Miss... ::he began quietly, meekly:: I have some bandages here.. if you need them...? ::trailing off, it had seemed to be more of a question, than the statement he had meant it to be::

Dauthi Watchman: ::Dauthi looked quickly away, her weight shifting in her chair uncomfortably, Tiph's "blood" only serving to remind her how long it had been since she had fed. Months in fact, other then what Dar had forced her to consume while she had been in a coma. Her stomach churned then loudly protested, her ignoring it. Fidgeting, her gaze fell to the man as he spoke, watching him dig through his pack, he seemed a bit..well eccentric, with Dau almost found amusing. Now her curiosity took over and she spoke in a cool commanding tone:: Tell us what is your name Sir?

Tiph Nightshade: You're very kind.. but my species tends to heal too quickly to really have much use for them. ::Just before she'd spoken, the finger had ceased to be softly suckled on, and she pulled it from her mouth, and held her hand outward with the palm in his direction. Her finger's fleshy tip seamlessly sealing itself before their eyes made her somewhat of a spectacle:: No harm done.. I'm just a moron.. ::The second part was uttered a bit more quietly. She noted Dauthi's stomach growling, and even moreso the translucence of her skin:: Good lord when's the last time you ate?

Gryphon Asagiri: Oh, no sir.. please ::The large frame emitted a serene voice, openly contradicting itself in just that means. A warm smile dominated his facial features, and he bowed his head lightly, as much of a bow as he was able, sitting:: That was what my dad made me call him.. I'm just Gryphon... ::he packed his things back in, a bit perturbed at the woman's abilities, but he stayed relatively quiet; a thing that was hard for him to do for long.::

Dauthi Watchman: ::Quickly stuffing her hands back into the pockets of her dusterafter pulling the brim of her hat lower over her face, she spoke softly to Tiph:: I'm fine Tiph..As soon as Lu returns home I will feed. I've been feeding Cheyenne is all, and it's taken alot out of me...::her dull blue orbs once again fell back to the stranger:: Gryphon is it? Well hello Gryphon. I am.....::she hesitated at her introduction, and not wishing to go through all the BS formalities that normally transpired when someone found out she was queen, she kept it short.:: I'm Dauthi...::she gave a slight smile, although it was hard to detect beneathe the Stetson's brim::

Gryphon Asagiri: ::confused at the hesitations, and differences in tones of voice, he cocked his head while listening, to attain different 'view'points for his hearing. Deciding not to harp on any of the things his mind was curious about, he instead opted for a greeting. Speaking in slightly broken english, backtracking his words now and then, he quietly thanked the woman.::

Tiph Nightshade: ::Tiphareth frowned down at the little pool of shimmering blood in front of her, and chanted quickly in her alien tongue, waving her hand over the mess, and erasing it. Remembering, finally, that she had a few manners, she rose and walked quietly over to Gryphon, finally knowing his name. Small booted feet thudded faintly against the floorboards as she made her way over to him, and stopped before him, extending her hand:: Tiphareth Watchman Nightshade.. but everyone calls me Tiph. ::She flashed the fleeting glimpses of a genuine smile.:: This is my Tavern, and you are welcome at anytime.

Gryphon Asagiri: ::A bit startled at the forwardness, he looked down to her hand, and blinked a few times, as he looked back up, not exactly sure what he was expected to do. Once more, he cursed his inabilty to understand the nuances of this culture. But, much like him, his psyche rebounded, as was shown when a smile flooded over his face:: Thank you, Tiphareth-sama.. ::his bass voice replied::

Dauthi Watchman: ::she sat back watching Tiph and the stranger interact, a slight smile on her face, seeing the large man caught off guard by tiny TIph::

Tiph Nightshade: ::She retreated the hand a bit awkwardly behind her back, but all tension was erased when she smiled again, warmly. She supposed, inwardly, that she'd picked that up from Darrian, but steered herself onto other thoughts before she depressed herself again.:: Make yourself at home. ::Trying like hell to be a nice hostess, she flashed the brilliant smile again and wandered off to the bar, searching through the cupboards and cabinets for her own personal weakness.. vodka. She found a bottle, finally, and snatched up a clean shot glass for herself. She returned to her table with both items in hand, and almost sat down before going back for another glass for Dauthi, a wicked little gleam in her eye as she sat herself. This brought back memories..::

Gryphon Asagiri: ::The warm, cheery features on his face melted as she walked away. He'd never understood emotion very well, but ironically had always been quite empathic around others; and he wasn't entirely happy with the thoughts that he picked up from her. Fighting with a few of his own thoughts, he instead opted to remain quiet. He glared over at one of the idle tenders, sending him in a flurry of action to fetch onother bottle of sake::

Dauthi Watchman: ::dauthi eyed the bottle, a smirk on her lips, god the memories...her and Tiph had spent many a night drinking vodka..she smiled then, that had been how she had met Lu...She closed her eyes, an inky black tear escaping , and rolling down her cheek, so much had happened since then::

Tiph Nightshade: ::She noticed the tear, of course, and canted her head down a little to peer under the hat, and spoke softly. She didn't know exactly what had triggered it, but she could guess:: Dau, I know how it is, trust me I do, how it hurts to have them gone all the time and to know how much we've all drifted apart since then..::She forgot the vodka and squeezed her hand lightly:: I hate it just as much as you do, but it's not some premanent, unfixable deal.. right? ::It seemed that she had only been willing to give voice to this for someone else's benefit. The same things bothered her, and had for a long while, but before there hadn't been enough reason in her mind to acknowledge it::

Dauthi Watchman: ::Dauthi looked up at Tiph, pushing the hat back now, those large sapphire orbs piercing Tiph's own. She knew what Tiph was saying, but she also knew Tiph well enough to know Tiph din exactly believe that either. She spoke in a soft tone:: Tiph, I have not a shread of doubt that Lu loves me with all his being, but last time..::her voice trailed off:: He was captive for 10 years....::the inky tears flowed freely now::

Tiph Nightshade: ::She nodded, knowing that full well. She could still recall how different things had been when Lu finally had come back.. it seemed so long ago, but she remembered vividly that he's still been the same loving brother she'd known:: I know, just making whatever little effort I can muster to not be so pessimistic all the time. If I let myself despair... ::She shook her head and forced a resolute expression onto her features.:: But I won't. Neither should you. You'll see him again soon. ::A ferverence was tinged into her tone, and her glowing gaze never wavered.:: Don't cry, please.. ::She was dreading breaking down herself.. family tears were contatious and spread like mad::

Dauthi Watchman: ::Dau swiped angrily at the black streaks upon her pallid complextion, TIph was right , Lu would not like it knowing her state, either physical or mental, she owed it to him to be strong, and she would not disappoint him. They had endured this long, having been through to many troubled times. Again speaking softly she looked at Tiph:: you're right, now how about that drink?

Tiph Nightshade: That's more like it. ::She grinned and wasted no time in pouring the two shots full to the brim. Passing one carefully across the length of the table she looked up at the ceiling then, thinking, and after a moment, took her glass up to her thin lips and downed it entirely:: Whatever happened to that never ending shot.. ::She mused out loud::

Dauthi Watchman: ::Dauthi giggled as Tiph mentioned the shot glass of old , and with a wave of her hand produced it:: Nich gave it to me...to keep an eye on..::she winked and downed it even as it filled, passing it over to Tiphy::

Tiph Nightshade: ::She laughed, whole upper half riddled with mirth:: Well now we have three.. guess that's just more of an excuse to finish off the whole bottle. ::Tiphy's pools poured the invisible Mako, and as she put down her normal glass and reached for the enchanted cup, a tell tale Tiphareth smirk reigned fully on her features, pulling gently at the delicate facial muscles. She looked positively wicked.:: We really need to do this more often.. ::She downed it and set the glass back down, rather loudly, onto the table, and passed it on::

Dauthi Watchman: :Dauthi smiled, more at ease now, unfastening Pain, and throwinfg the sword onto the floor nearby without a thought, no one else was really here to be a threat. She snapped up the normal glass, and threw back that shot as well. :: Lu would kill me if he knew..::she giggled:: But what he doesn't know ne?

Gryphon Asagiri: ::With a murmur of protest, the boomer stirred, and woke up, with not a small amount of cursing. It would seem a bright slice of light from a far window had snuck to his eyes, and begun jabbing it with little swords of illumination. With half-lidded eyes, he looked about aimlessly::

Tiph Nightshade: Of course. Dar would freak but, ::There she paused and overly faked looking shocked. Ever the smartass, when there was even a chance to display that side of her, she'd jump at it:: He's not here, nor is he ever gonna know. But it's not so bad.. I mean, not like I'm drinking in front of Damian or anything.. ::Damian.. at the thought she twitched, knowing she should be taking care of her little one instead of handing him off to Nich all the time but.. she needed a break. Pouring her plain glass full again, it was quickly emptied, and the took the liberty of filling it up again:: Sometimes I wonder how he is going to turn out..

Gryphon Asagiri: ::Not exactly being able to see, he just followed whatever smelled good. This brought him over to a table; the aroma of alcohol purveyed over all. After a moment, the haze in his mind cleared, and, with great consternation, realized he'd been standing next to a chair, saying nothing, for a few minutes. He laughed nervously, and rubbed at teh back of his neck, as he tried to find his voice:: You two mind..? ::he motioned to the chair with his other free hand::

Dauthi Watchman: ::Dauthi smiled at Gryphy much less reserved now, much more relaxed. Unlike the old days, Dau was not affected as much by the drinki, Lu having long since turned her. She motioned to the empty chair for him to sit:: Go ahead, if you can put up with us when we are like this then by all means ::she threw a wicked grin at Tiph::

Tiph Nightshade: ::Tiphy snickered at Dauthi, and nodded toward the empty chair.:: Be our guest. ::Tiphy, as it had always been, and would forever after be.. in all likelihood, was not affected in the slightest by the drink.. as far as her being considered tipsy was concerned. Jenova digestive systems took the edge right out of practically anything, alcohol included. She didn't drink it to get drunk anyway.. she just loved the taste::

Gryphon Asagiri: ::Chuckling a little at some inner joke, he took the proffered seat, but not before his customary bow. Always the obsessive one, he was. With a slight lurch, he brought his arm to the table top, and let the bottle that he was holding rest there.:: I think I might be able to handle though.. I can get a little more eccentric, if thats possible.

Gryphon Asagiri: ::Absent-mindedly, he combed at his unruly mop of grey hair with one hand, and yawned loudly, and poured himself a small shot of sake::

Gryphon Asagiri: ::quickly, he tossed his head back, along with the shot. A strange set of movements for drinking;nonetheless, it got the intended job done. His eyes shut tight, and he shook his head a few times, trying to rid ohis throat of the odd sensation this drink always left in his mouth::

Gryphon Asagiri: ::opening one bloodshot, paled silver eye, he looked about at the woman, and murmured to himself self-consciously::

Dauthi Watchman: ::Dauthi took the shot, bringing up to her fully crimson lips still snickering at Tiph and her's little joke, downed now her third shot, slamming it down which was ritual for her and Tiph and slid it to her Sis::

Gryphon Asagiri: ::he shrugged, guessing maybe his expression had been lost, and began pouring himself a second shot. Now, both of his eyes were open, showing an amazing contrast between the gold and silver in them. ::

Gryphon Asagiri: ::Every now and then, he'd open his mouth slightly, if not permitting a drink, then to say something... but what inhibition he had left stopped any curiousity in him. And so, he remained silent.::

Tiph Nightshade: ::Tiphy snatched it up and gulped it down in one quick swallow, and emptied her normal glass as well immediately after. She slammed the shot glass down and slid it over to Dauthi:: I have so been needing this.. ::An off little amusing thought came into her mind just then, about how exactly she would look, let alone begin to explain this all, should Darrian just pick now as a time to show up. She giggled, seemingly loosening up a bit, and looked at Gryphon:: That's sake you're drinking, isn't it? I've always wondered how it tasted.. but never got around to trying it. Do you like it? ::She was genuinely curious.

Gryphon Asagiri: ::He shook his head once; sadly, his brain hadn't told his muscles to only nod once. They continued bobbing his head forward, in a lazy, droswy manner.:: Yeah,.. think I drink a little too much of it..

Gryphon Asagiri: ::He lifted the bottle to his silver eye, and peered at it, almost menacingly. A bit of a frown broke across his face; only enough for three more shots, at a conservative estimate..::

Gryphon Asagiri: Damned chair.. ::he got up briefly, almost toppling over once. Once he'd situated the chair once more, he sat back down, murtering something about furniture shrinkage, as he downed another shot::

Gryphon Asagiri: Haven't met many others that drink like this, at this time of the day... ::He sat back in the chair, after a small test to make sure he wouldnt fall over. A light smile, nothing obvious, settled as his expression for now.::

Dauthi Watchman: ::Dauthi let out an especially evil childlike giggle seeing Gryphy's expression and knowing what in was in reference too. On of the benefits of being queen was having a bar at home fully stocked with many odd substances in case someone should show up unexpected, which happened all the time. Dauthi mumbled something and snapped her finger near the table in front of gryphy, a full bottle of sake appearing, she then grabbled up the shot slammed it back, Appearin on the table in front of him. Dau grabbed up the shotglass SLammed it back, then slammed it to the table and slid it to Tiph:: Oh hell yes Tiph we needed this.

Gryphon Asagiri: ::He looked down at the table, trying to get his head to stop swaying. In his vision, he could see two bottles of sake; one in his hand, and one on the table. Not being the quickest of creatures when sober, he prayed he wasnt hallucinating again::

Gryphon Asagiri: ::deciding to test his vision he opened up the second bottle, and took a small, tentative sip from it. The expression that flooded his eyes after that could only be described in terms of voltage, and they kept a small glimmer of that look, as his vision darted between the two of them. ::

Tiph Nightshade: ::Tiph knew what he was implying too, and though it might have been completely the wrong idea, she just smirked and nodded a little bit. The whole long explanation about what she was and why she could drink so much at whatever time of day she wanted to and on and on and on just.. well she wasn't in the mood to go into all that shit. She'd just let him think she was a normal person, with maybe a few self healing abilities, nothing big.. how he'd explain the glowing eyes though, she really had no clue. She was slightly glad the wings weren't visible today.::

Gryphon Asagiri: ::he shrugged, not caring after a moment *where* the bloody bottle had come from; he only smiled cheerfully, taking more pulls from the bottle::

Dauthi Watchman: ::Dau knew what Tiph was thinking, she had long ago learned to read the very complicated woman. It was nice to be just two friends sitting in a tavern and not the Infamous Watchman and Nightshade. Suddenly Dauthi got a pang in her mind, she knew instantly what it meant Cheyenne had woken up from her nap, and even though Alu was there Dauthi hated to miss even a moment with her precious children. Lu had taken Lil Lu with him, and with missing him so much, Dauthi was extra protective, and mindful of her baby girl:: I should be going Tiph, Chey is up, and I do hate being away.. I love you dearly, I'm glad we did this..::she stood and hugged her sister::

Gryphon Asagiri: ::After demolishing the supply of liquid that bottle contained, he set it back down, and leaned over the table slightly, to steady himself:: It was nice meeting you, Dauthi-sama.. ::he bowed his head gently:: I hope to meet back up with you, sometime.

Tiph Nightshade: ::Tiphareth, though she was enjoying herself immensely, realized that she needed to be somewhere else. She took up her glass and threw it in the general direction of the sink.. winced as it smashed and shattered in the basin, and shrugged with a slightly embarassed grin.:: I have a feeling a certain unwilling babysitter is gonna kill me if I don't pick up my little monster soon.. ::She clapped a hand over her mouth and snickered as she pictured her little hellion tearing around Nich's cathedral and toppling countless priceless things.:: Dau, we are most definitely doing this again. ::With that she stood up, and hugged her back tightly:: I know how you feel. Darrie and Damian are likely both starving so off the official Nightshade Bloodbank must go.

Dauthi Watchman: ::Dauthi giggled at Tiph then smiled at Gryphy:: it has been a pleasure...Take care:: she the turned heal and mosied out the soft jangle of her spurs fading into the distance::

Gryphon Asagiri: ::most of the comments were passing over his head now, but he had gone over the minutes of this conversation afterwards, and had ample time to react then:: And you, Tiphareth-sama? Well, I'm going to go back to sleep in my room.. ::he pointed drowsily in a certain direction:: So I guess we'll see each other sometime..

Gryphon Asagiri: ::He stood, bowing slowly and precariously, and then proceeded to wander aimlessly on his way to the aforementioned room.::

Tiph Nightshade: Sleep well Gryphon. ::She didn't really think it necessary to mention what exactly either of her babies was starving for.. That was left to the imagination. A smartass little smirk was the last thing that could be seen of her, before the rift in time was parted, and Tiphareth's form melted into it, and dissolved slowly into nothing::
