UCW's Bayou LaBatree Show
Well boys and girls,
I went to a UCW show in Bayou LaBatree, AL Friday night. I had no idea what to expect. Mz Venom wasn't on the card, hadn't met the promoter or owner. I had heard about the show and knew some wrestlers who were working that night and we agreed to meet up there.
Now one of the first things I was told when I was interested in the wrestling business was to always bring my gear, so that's just what I did. I'd like to thank Steve Armstrong for that bit of advice. :-) I also had a show the following night and wasn't sure if I was going to trek back home between shows so I made a special point of having absolutely everything I might need with me.
Upon arrival to the location of the show, I walked backstage and the moment I got in the door Scott Armstrong greeted me and introduced me to Bud Collins (owner of UCW) who in turn introduced me to the promoter (I'm sorry I didn't catch his name. He was very sweet, profession, busy, and uh...rather yummy looking).
Next thing I know I was on the card working with Sensational Sherry (Sherry Martel) in the main event against Bobby Doll, managed by Echmo. So I went downstairs into the dressing room where I met Sherry and the rest of the girls (Bud has a lot of girls...Sherry and I were the only ones without silicon...lol...apparently Bud is known for having very beautiful women at his shows...not only were they lovely but they were all very nice - great combo!).
Sherry took me under her wing immediately. She went over some moves we could do and decided she was going to use me as her sidekick for double teaming, saves, and the like. I was honored and we had a blast! At one point Sherry called me in the ring and we row boated Bobby Doll. hehe Sherry got over in the end. :-) Those damn boys nailed Sherry in the head with a steel chair. She was gushing blood. Poor thing. :-( In the end, I pulled Sherry on top of Bobby and we double pinned him for the win. It wasn't too hard after his beyond large manager, Echmo (one of the semoine boys), accidently splashed Bobby from the top rope...hehe...thanks to me pulling Sherry off Bobby lickity split she didn't become a smooshed sandwich. :-)
After the show, I told Sherry "I've hated you for years". hehe She thought that was quite a compliment. I must say, she was a wonderful person to work with. Just the sweetest woman. I was blessed that she took such a liking to me. A mean, demonic b*tch like that was exactly my pace both in and out of the ring. *evil laughter* We exchanged numbers and with any luck I'll have the good fortune of working with her again.
