This was taken at Thanksgiving 1999. Diana is on the left (my right). Our friend Gerri (in the black) was my "other date" to the party. I flew out to Minneapolis where Diana was living to celebrate Thanksgiving with her and some friends of ours (who will get their names and homepages here if they but ask).

At that time, I was beginning to wonder if we were really supposed to be "just friends," as we had been telling ourselves for years. It wasn't until Yule (about 03:30, as I recall) that we admitted to ourselves that we were absolutely not meant to be "just friends" (not that there's anything "just" about friends, but you get what I mean).

I can't imagine how I could be happier, but if the Gods want to show me, They're welcome to do so.

Oh, yeah: Diana looks even better in person.

And this one was taken recently by a friend of ours at a retreat in upstate New York. I don't like the way I look in it (but then I seldom like the way I photograph), but it's my new wallpaper on my computer at work...

I love you, Diana.
