Personality Summary: Michiru is what I jokingly refer to as the "mother" of the Sailor Senshi. She is calm, understanding, and caring. On the other hand, she's also one of the most determined and hard-edged of all the senshi. She was the one who recruited Haruka into being Sailor Uranus even after the tom-boy stubbornly refused. She sees her tasks and goes all out to accomplish them. In Season 3, when she is introduced together with Haruka, the two of them are searching for the holy grail. They do all that they can to acheive their goal and that includes not helping Sailor Moon when she needs help. Their aloof, no-nonsense, superior attitude creates animosity between them and inner senshi who are treated like incopentent school girls. Because of the nature of their mission and the intensity with which they try to acheive it, Michiru isn't very friendly. She'll smile and converse, if Haruka forces her to, but the only thing on her mind is the holy grail, so she comes off as seeming haughty. All of the inner senshi love her because they think that she is the most beautiful thing they've ever seen. She's woman incarnate. Elegant, gentle, poised and composed (which is emphasized by her world-famous violin playing). And that is Michiru in a nut shell - she acts in this life like the princess that she was in her past life. Eventually, in Season 5, she finally gains respect for the inner senshi and her princess and turns out to be very protective and loving towards them.
Love Life: Her one true love is Haruka. They balance each other out: where Haruka is hot-tempered, Michiru is cool; where Haruka is out-going, Michiru is reserved; where Haruka plays the man, Michiru is every inch a woman. They have a very close relationship that stays tried and true throughout the entire series. They even play in concerts together with Michiru a famous violin player and Haruka her pianist. They love each other without reserve, risk their lives over and over for one another, and even follow each other into death at the end of Season 5. When they adopt Hotaru, they turn into two of the sweetest parents in the world. They love their daughter as if she were their own (and, indeed, Hotaru calls them Michiru-mama and Haruka-papa).
