Personality Summary: Usagi has an incredibly bubbly countenance. She's cheerful and friendly, making sure to smile her way through life. Her positive attitude and innocence act as magnets and all who meet her can't help but be drawn to her. It is her unabashed purity that helps her defeat all of the enemies that she comes across. She finds a way to understand even the most twisted mind and has the ability to heal the tainted, dark souls of her enemies. Though many people find her flighty and ditzy, Usagi is a very complex character (more so in the manga where she is actually very responsible and mature). She understands the burden of her life as a senshi and shoulders her responsiblity very well even though her greatest wish is just to be a normal girl again. Usagi is also an incredibly loyal friend. Not only does she take an active role in all of her friends' lives, but she does whatever she can to save them when they are in trouble. She has lost her own life several times in order to save the lives of her loved ones.
Love Life: There is only one man in the world for Usagi and his name is Chiba Mamoru. They are soulmates. Lifemates. Two halves of one whole. Nothing can split them apart. In the past, Mamoru was Prince Endymion who fell in love with Princess Serenity (Usagi in the past). When their world was being destroyed, Endymion risked his life to protect Serenity. Unable to live without him, Serenity took her own life. This love beyond death carried into their next life. Though they face several trials along the way, Usagi and Mamoru stay strong and together throughout the entire series. By the end, they become engaged (beginning of Season 5) which sets them up for their life in the future when they rule as Neo-Queen Serenity and Neo-King Endymion. There are a few kinks in this eternal love. During Season 1, when Usagi and Mamoru did little more than argue as if they were the greatest of enemies, Usagi had a big crush on Motoki, Mamoru's best friend and owner of the Crown Arcade. During Season 5, when Mamoru leaves to go to college at Harvard, the Sailor Starlight Seiya becomes very interested in the princess. He becomes smitten with her almost immediately after meeting her and it isn't too long before he falls in love with her. He persistently pursues Usagi, who does a good job of acting as though she doesn't notice. There are a few times when it seems that Usagi falls for him as well - it is hard for her with Mamoru away, especially since he never returns her phone calls or letters - but she stays true to her prince. When Mamoru returns in the very last episode of Season 5, he immediately notices Seiya's heavy feelings for his girlfriend (well, fiancee - though Usagi pretends not to know that the ring he gave her at the beginning of Season 5 is an engagement ring) but is also happy to note that Usagi treats him only as a friend.
