![]() "...what do you consider the most important thing in designing a web page ...?” Get rid of the clutter! If your page takes forever to load, the very people you want to stick around to watch ... won't! The click-happy visitor, who could have been a click-happy customer, is now happily clicking away at your competition's site. Keep it clean, say what you want to say, add relevant graphics to break up the text, and involve your visitor. It sounds simple, and can be, whether you are creating your own web site or have hired a designer to help you. All the bells and whistles in the world won't help if your visitors have to make a career out of waiting for your page to load. That is clearly what I feel is the most important part of web design. |
