Yeah Lili! Got the recap going! Now lets see what I can add.
Order pyramid - You were mostly right on this one, but there are a couple minor points I have to add. The first piece of the order pyramid was given to us as a gift by an order elemental, not retrieved by adventurers. Then two groups, one led by Bling and Morris and the next led by Baron Algorian and Sir Kaylin, went in to retrieve the next two pieces. I have to give special credit to Jimmy Redgrave here, as he did an excellent job solving the puzzle that we needed to get the pyramid piece on the second mission. The third mission, which consisted of Oleg and some Blythedale people, did manage to retrieve their shard, but unfortunately they were then assaulted by trolls afterwards and the shard was taken from them. We did manage to find another piece, which we thought could serve as the fourth piece, but it turned out to be a false piece and it shattered when we tried to use it. Without all four pieces, we were never able to retrieve all four pieces of the Order Pyramid, and so Guildmaster Andvar is still cursed. I also heard that the Curse had spread to some others, such as Lady Elayne, but I do not know if this is true. As to the rumors that the last group kept the shard for themselves, as far as I know those are rumors only, and unless substantiated are baseless.
Resurrections/deaths - There were too many resurrections at this gathering. Avendale lost a lot of good people. Connor of Greytusk and Oleg of the Court of Brisbane both took their final deaths. I know that Michiko, Al Deberon, Garrion, Baron Algorian, and Morris were all forced to resurrect. If anyone else knows of any, feel free to add to this list, although I believe it is too long as it is.
Chaos elementals - Lili covered this subject pretty completely, but I just wanted to add that these chaos elementals did not seem to attack at random. They would first ask you if you were going to free Gormonkane, and then if you answered yes they would begin attacking, from what I saw. As a matter of fact, for chaos elementals they were pretty orderly in their mission.
Karveki - This part of the gathering caught me off guard, as I was not aware that we had even the faintest notion of where Karveki's last spirit cradle was. However, now that we know, I am certain that we will attempt to destroy it again in the future. After we failed to destroy his spirit cradle, he began wandering the town, taunting the townsfolk. He said something about coming back in a year, and that he would now be forced to move his base since we had gotten too close to him. All in all, when you consider how badly we lost that fight, it was amazing that very few people resurrected, and that we made it out in as orderly a fashion as we did.
Attercobs - The attercobs were around all weekend. They were potentially very deadly, because there is no way to stop a physical web. All you can do is hope to dodge it and run for help. Myself and a group of fellow adventurers went to clean some attercobs out of a woman's basement, and discovered that the citizens of Grienkala had been trying to wipe out the attercobs even fifty years or more before we arrived. We found a map that led to the attercobs lair, and we fought our way down it. At the end, we discovered some type of hive. We tried to investigate it, and in the process ending up freeing the dinosaur wasps that were the ancient enemy of the attercobs. Unfortunately, the dinosaur wasps came after us instead of the attercobs. Hopefully by the time we hit next gathering, the attercobs will have been wiped out by the wasps, but who knows?
Undead - We saw precious few of them all weekend, which is of course rare for Avendale. Could it be that Grienkala is lighter on undead than Wainsford was? I don't know, but we can always hope.
Town name - Just to clarify, the name of the town we are in was Grienkala. I do not know if it will be renamed or not.
Gormonkane - A group made up of myself, Bling, Morris, Titania, Jimmy Redgrave, Dale, Olspi, Lathia, and Sir Kaylin went to help Gormonkane. We fought through seven rooms of chaos elementals before we finally managed to get somewhere. Fortunately, Gormonkane kept resetting out abilities or all might have been lost. In the final room, a large chaos elemental (with a cheering section, no less) challenged us to have three of our best fight him. Our three fighters, Dale, Titania, and Sir Kaylin, stepped forward. Thanks in large part to the magic items Dale and Titania were carrying with them, they managed to defeat the chaos elemental, and we made it out with the Staff of Balance. We then used the Staff and an order pylon to free the chaos from Gormonkane's mind, and Gormonkane was freed from his prison. He journeyed around Avendale with us, and helped keep us alive during the final battle against the fire elementals.
Fire elementals - Speaking of which, I have no idea why we were attacked by fire elementals. I believe this is a sign of things to come, but I have no idea who sent them or why. Anyone who has any theories, I would love to hear them.
Pixies - I am undecided on them as of yet. I know they are a type of fae. However, unless they make a threatening gesture, I highly recommend that they not be attacked. They seem capable of throwing arcane charms, but they seem reluctant to do so unless they feel threatened. I believe we can live peacefully with them and maybe they could even help us.
Minotaurs - They were up to their old tricks, attacking us as usual. They didn't seem particularly well organized, so I would imagine they are between leaders right now. I don't believe we saw any minotaurs of the Trihorn clan, but I could certainly be wrong on that.
Mistress Chaos - She was around town with her friend Ramox of the Kabal and a group of other people. She tried to join the healer's guild, discussing the fact that she cast a lot of earth magics, and neglecting to mention that they were of the necromantic variety. One of her friends managed to grab Sir Celdric's tabard and claim that he was a knight of Avendale. I think Sir Celdric was charmed into giving it to him. We did attack Mistress Chaos twice and manage to force her to rift. Overall, though, she survived and didn't do too much damage.
Okay, that's just about everything I can think of. If anyone else has any information, please feel free to post it. Michiko, if you have anything to add, I would love to see it, as you are far better at this than me. Lili, thank you for getting the conversation started. Again, if anyone would like to write an in-depth summary of these events for my new Avendale Newsletter, I would very much appreciate it. Thanks.
