The Topic of Gormonkane

As to the topic of Gormann Kane. Yes, his voice spoke to me as a whisper on the winds. He wished to have an audience with myself and others who were involved in the previous attempts to free him. I gathered a small group, as per his request, to go and speak with him. The members of this group were Myself, Bling, Dale, Lethia(Sp?), and Nobunaga, it seems to me as if there may have been one other, but if there was the name eludes me at the moment and I greatly apologize. We were carried to the "home/prison" of Gormann Kane on a swirling gust of wind, and came to rest in front of the circle which currently confines him. How much longer this circle will confine him is debatable. Gormann Kane speculated perhaps another month or two, at the rate the barriers are falling and the elemental aspects within him are being consumed by the Chaos aspect, which now unfortunately seems to be prominent within his being. He suggested that we find one of his possessions...a staff, a focus of Order, and with it we could summon the Order elemental Ogdyn(Sp?). With Ogdyn's help as well as, the staff and more order pylons we may be able to set Gormann Kane's mind to right, and balance the elements within him. Unfortunately, the staff is being held by servants of Chaos at the moment, some of the same beings which hold Gormann Kane imprisoned. We have great suspicion that Mistress C. has a hand in this whole thing. Also, Gormann Kane confirmed the fears of some, that Malcolm had indeed been captured by Mistress C. If this is true, it could bode poorly for us on many levels, as Malcolm was the one most directly responsible for spearheading the movement to free Gormann Kane from his prison originally. It was he, along with the servants of order that laid the groundwork for much of what we are doing now. If Mistress C. is successfull in turning Malcolm back to Chaos, I fear Avendale may have yet another formidable enemy. As it stands now...Gormann Kane has given us a map to find this staff. We are attempting to decipher the map at the moment, and hopefully we are able to do so soon. The next thing we must consider is that Gormann Kane is currently influenced heavily by the aspect of Chaos....ergo we must be carefull how trusting we are, and how quick we are to act along the lines he has led us to believe. For while he seemed sincere, when dealing with a being of his power, age, and capabilities...nothing should be left to chance.

I hope that clears a few things up...feel free to ask specific questions if you have them. Even if i cannot answer them, others may be able to.

As near as we can tell at this point, Gormann Kane is a very powerfull elemental being, quite possibly the most powerfull elemental being in existence. It has be said that when he is at full power he may command any element or elemental being but force of will alone. He has demonstrated on couple of occasions, his ability to shape and command the very forces of nature themselves, examples being when he transported the small group of ust to his confinement by a swirling funnel of wind. or when he sent us back to the town by way of a large flaming sphere through the sky. If the information is true, he may infact be the "son" of Tyrra. By his own admission, he has said the he will eventually become a new "world", and depending on what state he is in when he is released, it could be a world where the elements are in balance or...if things stay as they are now... a world of Chaos. As it stands now, it is not really a question of "if we should or should not free him?" The barriers which are holding him are ebbing...he will be free, whether we choose to act or not. The real question is, can we balance the elements within him before this happens? There is indeed much to consider here, as you can imagine.

There is yet another possibility.....He was after all contained for this long. Perhaps knowledge of how to contain him might still exist somewhere? If I'm not mistaken it was the Vornae Mage Kuroshi who had the greatest hand in imprisoning him previously...If Nobunaga could confirm that name for me it would be much appreciated. This was of course many thousands of years ago....a long time for even the oldest elves. However Gormann Kane said that Kuroshi still exists as some form of Undead, a Liche or a Deathknight I think....again Nobunaga can confirm that for sure as he has our notes on it.
