A Message From the Editor:
The Battle for Baltimore has begun. Most world-wid sanctioned tournaments this month will be to see which clan gains control of Baltimore as the Sabbat's control of the Port City is rapidly being weakened by Sabbat clans warring with each other.
I went to the first tournament in the world on Saturday down in London. It was an exciting time, with most people playing experimental type decks in order to try and win the first battle. The promotional card "Meddling of Semsith" was given out, and Anklebiter was the first methuselah in the world to play it.
Much fun was had by all, and lots of people are planning to go to multiple tournaments to gain multiple copies of the card You can see below for a spoiler.
After a weeks break, we start back on Tuesday playing some V:Tes at the Cornerhouse, and the 19th and 26th of February will be the Cambridge Storyline Tourney. Don't forget to mail me if you want to play.
This is also the first newsletter for the new players that came along to the demonstration evening on 22nd of January. I hope you all enjoyed the game, and have had a chance to read the rules through. You are all welcome to come along on Tuesday to play again, and are of course all welcome to play in the storyline tourney. If you wish to play with it, the starter decks given out to the new players are completely legal for this tourney.
I hope to see you all soon, enjoy the rest of the newsletter.
May the night be yours!
Andy

Yes people, you read it correctly. I am running one of these tournaments. All are welcome, as these tourneys are partly designed for introductions to tournament play, as well as influencing the way the story of the world of darkness goes. I hope many people can make it, but you must contact me first, or else if you are not there at 6.30pm on the night, you may lose out.
Decks must be between 60 and 90 cards, and follow the standard deck construction guidelines as stated in the tournament floor rules. As well as this, you may wish to add the promo card to your deck (this can take the deck to 91 cards), and your crypt must contain at least 75% of the same clan. (e.g. at least 9 out of a 12 card crypt must be the same clan). The crypts will be checked before hand. I also need to know your VEKN number (I can register you if you aren't already) and I would like to know your decks constitution. You can bring this with you. Whatever deck wins, I want to put in the newsletter immediately following the tourney. These will of course take the place of the usual temple meetings.
Spoiler:
Meddling of Semsith
Political Action - Worth one Vote.
Called by any vampire at +1 stealth.
Choose another Methuselah. If this referendum is successful, put this card in play. Your hand size is one card smaller. The chosen Methuselah doesn't draw to replace cards during any Methuselah's minion phase. After each minion phase, he or she draws back up to his or her hand size. Any vampire may call a referendum to burn this card as a +1 stealth political action.
This card is only available by going to a Storyline tournament. If you choose, the card can be played in the deck on the day. Why play it? You will screw up decks that rely heavily on card cycling either during their minion phase (stealth/bleed, rush/combat, multiple political actions with Bewitching Oration/Voter Captivation) or in other turns (heavy intercept decks) simply because they cannot replace the cards as they play them. This means a maximum of 8 cards can be played in their own turn, including Master card, or 7 in another Methuselah's turn (8 if Sudden Reversal). In most CCGs, the more you see of your draw deck, the better your chances will be. In Vampire, card cycling is an important option, and you will stop this with this card.
Top card to use, but drawback is that is it is a political card. You will be looking to gain voting superiority or cut a good deal with someone else in order to benefit from this. You also need to maintain that voting superiority in order to keep it in play.
Overall, I may try to use it. If you want to, then it is your choice. The card has been designed to play in this tournament, and as Semsith is trying to screw over Baltimore as he comes to the US from the Old World, you could be facilitating the storyline, as I will be reporting to White Wolf about use of the acrd in play.
