- Kouga -
Kouga is a full wolf-demon, meaning he can change into wolf form. He and InuYasha are rivals because they both like the same girl - Kagome. Kouga has a shikon shard in both of his legs, and one in his arm. Because of this, he can run very fast. His first appearance is in Episode 37, where he literally steals Kagome to detect more shards for him. He askes her to be his "woman" *cough* and when InuYasha finds out, he gets pissed off. InuYasha doubts Kagome and she gets peeved. So we have two peeved off people, and Kagome rushes off into the Well, screaming "baka" all the way. Kouga at first, didn't have much feelings for Kagome but some episodes later, he finds out that he really does love her or at least develops some feelings to her. Kagome rejects Kouga saying that she loves another - namely InuYasha. Therefore, Kouga thinks it through logically - remove this InuYasha character and Kagome is sure to accept him...
And then, because of this, InuYasha and Kouga become love rivals...
Kouga is prince of his tribe, and nearly kills InuYasha too... Hes very loyal, rash, slightly on the stupid side, good-looking and can get very aggressive. He will defend/revenge his family, and close friends to the death. Kouga also calls InuYasha, "Dog turd" and Inuyasha calls Kouga, "Whimpy Wolf." They're still far from being best friends...
Kouga, at first, may not seem to be the fun-loving type of guy, being somewhat serious. But he loosens up^_~ I really think that Kouga and Inuyasha's characters are very similiar, and this is part of the reason they hate each other...
Kouga is very determined and believes that he will achieve anything if only he tries; and this is proven often. Being a born leader, and an amazingly cute wolf demon, you'll find out why I made this shrine to him... (Oh and the fact that I haven't seen any shrines to Kouga yet, and a character like him deserves one=)
