On the night of the full moon, Ayame sat under the tree watching the moon she keep thinking about Kouga, the man that will never care for her. But still she loves him, only him. Because Kouga had saved her once when she was little and he a promise that he'll take her as his wife when she is older. But when the time pass he had forgot, the little girl he saved, the promise he made, he forgot all about them. He made that little girl loved him he made her waiting for him, and that little girl has grow up and finally found him. But she came back with the broken heart, He told her that he have been in love with some body else named, Kagome. But still she loved him, she always have.
'Your wife can only be me.' Ayame thought, thinking about what she had said to Kouga. The last time she saw him was 3 months ago.
"My wife has to be some one who be able to see the Shikon Shards, Kagome can!" Kouga's words still in her mind.
"Then I'll learn how to see them too!, you just wait for that day" Ayame replied back to Kouga.
But 3 months later on form that day, no matter how hard she tried, no matter how many times, she couldn't learn to see them like Kagome could. She hugged her knees tightly, no one ever knew the loneliness and sadness she felt in side, she hided it from everybody. She felt her eyes burning, because of the tears that were trying to come out so many times. She look up and closed her eyes, letting the tears fall back to her trying not to let it out. While she was siting there under the tree closing her eyes she felt some body is siting beside her, her eyes cracked open, and saw who was beside her.
"Grandpa" The old wolf smiled at her.
"Ayame, you should find a guy to marry you. It's the time you should marry. I, my self is to old now, I want to see you got married I just want to make sure before I die, that you have some one beside you and your not alone-"
"Please don't say that grandpa, your not gonna di-"
"Lets face it Ayame, I can no longer live. Go on Ayame, go find the guy that's right for you, go find Kouga, and bring him back here. Marry him before I can never see you two together again"
Ayame froze when she heard her loves name 'M..marry Kouga? He'll never marry me! Oh! Poor grandpa, he didn't know anything! But I can't break his heart right now, he really likes Kouga. Oh! What I am gonna do?!'
"Ayame? are you ok?" asked her grandpa.
"Oh! yes! I'm fine!" she replied.
"Good! then go find him now. Bye!" he ordered her.
Ayame didn't know what to say, she just nodded and left with the wind, she got her gang follow behind her.

"Kouga! whear are you going now?!" ask one of his buddies.
"For a walk!" Kouga yelled back. Kouga stopped at the tree, he thought about Kagome and wondered what she is doing right now. He stopped thinking because he heard something.
"A song?" He heard a soft song far away from where he was. 'It's sounds so sad' thought Kouga. He decided to follow the sad song he heard, he stopped where the mound he was walking on ended. Here, he could hear the song really well. 'I must be very close.'
He looked down then he saw someone, his eyes went wild. The girl was almost naked, she had a white short towel that covered from her chest to her knees. However the towel was short, and one could almost see right through it. She was siting on a large rock, with her legs dipping in the hot spring lake. She was playing the song from the leaf in her hands.
"Ayame?" Kouga was surprised that he didn't smell her, but thinking again, she was in the hot spring lake that's why he couldn't smell her.
'So it was you who played that sad song. Why does she look so sad?' he asked himself, even though he knew the answer. Ever since he told her that he forgot about her, she had become depressed.
She looked a little different, she had put her red hair down. Kouga hated to say it but she was a beautiful girl.
'Why does a pretty girl like you, love someone like me?' Her song was still going on, she stopped when she felt her tears slowly falling down her cheek.
'She's crying!'
She let the wind blow her tears away. Slowly she dropped her body in to the hot spring, keeping the towel with her. Kouga, deep down in his heart, he felt sorry for her that he couldn't love her. Kouga was still watching her, though he don't know why he was watching her but still, he was.
Ayame's eyes cracked open, she felt pain on her left ankle.
"Ahh!" She cried, then she sunk under the lake.
"Ayame!" cried Kouga, he know some thing was wrong.
He jumped down from the high mound where he was from, to the lake where Ayame was. He found her, and grabbed her weak body up unto the dry ground and laid her down. He put his ear against her chest.
'She's still breathing.' Then he saw blood coming from her ankle, "Snake bite!"
He knew right away. He didnt waste any time, he took his headband off and tied it to her leg. He quickly sucked out the poison out of her ankle and spat it out, again and again.
'That must be it.' with that he stopped.
Then he laid against her weak body, so she couldn't move around. He knew that if she moved she might hurt her ankle again.
Her eyes opened, trying to see the guy who was on her. "Kouga?" she couldn't believe her eyes.
'I must be dreaming!' She felt so weak right now, she couldn't even move! "Is that you, Kouga?" she asked. 'I'm so tired, I must be dreaming! What's wrong with me! I can't even move!'
"Yes Ayame its me, Kouga" he replied with worry etched on his face. "Are you ok? Does it hurt?"
"What are you doing in my dream?" right now she didn't care about anything, even herself. For all she cared about right now was Kouga. 'WHAT!! It's really Kouga?'
"Why do you think you are dreaming?" asked Kouga.
"Because in the real life you'll never going to be this close to me." The pain in her heart is worse than the pain on her leg.
"A..Ayame.." Kouga didn't know what to say, 'Maybe this is the best way, she should take this as a dream. I don't want to hurt her anymore...'
