I like to watch you sleep at night, to hear you breathe, by my side.

I know I'll never have him. But it's nice to think that I might've had him to myself, even if it was only for a little while.

And although sleep leaves me behind, there’s nowhere I’d rather be.

And now our bed is oh so cold, my hands feel empty, no one to hold.

He's chasing that other girl now, that human. She doesn't see him for what he is, though. She doesn't appreciate how he cares for her. One could go their whole life without ever witnessing such devotion.

It's handed to her on a platter.

And she just throws it away.

I'd never try to stop him. But to see him pine for her when he does come back is enough to make Orpheus weep. But I miss him when he's gone, chasing after someone who'll never care.
