In this two-day workshop students explore the creative possibilities for a classic shape: the half-rectangle triangle. This shape is versatile because of the "change in the angle" it brings to the pieced surface; no more are quilters restricted to 90 and 45 degree angles only! Day one is design, based on blocks as well as modules; day two is creating with fabric! Students come away with hundreds of design ideas and a quilt top well under way. You will never look at patchwork design in quite the same way again! MillerQuilts AnglePlay™ templates will be on hand for students to try, and will also be available for sale at the workshop. A refreshing lecture (all quilts, no slides!) which is an inspiring view of what it means to be a quilt maker in the 21st century. More than just how to store fabric and find time to quilt, this is a chance to take a look at "the big picture" of how quilt making fits into — and fuels — our lives. Many old and new quilts made by Margaret illustrate the lecture.
Cost: $free- member, $5- non-member
