My daughter has a darling shirt that has a little girls face painted on, with curled grosgrain >ribbon used for hair trim. This ribbon stays curled even through washings. I know how to curl >the ribbon, but wonder how you keep it curled permanently.

You take a dowel (I use the about the smallest size I can get .) Cut it to the size of your oven. Wrap the ribbon in the dowel, securing with tape on each end. Wet the ribbon and dowel. Set oven for 200 degrees. Bake the ribbon in the oven for about 20 minutes. Let ribbon cool on dowel before removing.
