Decorative stitches on bias strips
I remember something you wrote about making even lines of metallic (I think) stitching on a bias strip; then when corded and applied it looked like spiral threads. It sounded stunning, care to post this agai
n? I think everyone here would LOVE this idea!>>>>>>>>
Sure I would love to. . .
Take your uncut cloth which you will use for bias strips, and using any stitches from your sewing machine -- straight, zigzag, patterned, etc. Make parallel lines on the lengthwise grain (more stable for multiple lines of stitching). Then cut your bias strips. If you use the heavy metallic threads, even using them in the bobbin area of your machine, and bypassing your bobbin tension area, it will look like spiral beading from a distance.
Now cut your bias strips of this new coordinating fabric you have created!
Have fun with this one.
