Stabilizing lame

> I'm going to be making decorative pillows that will have a touch of lame  in them. I know that I need to use an iron-on backing to stabilize,   prevent fraying, etc.. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I  should use, and what settings to use on the iron to fuse them? I tried  this once before, and the lame bubbled and wrinkled up on the backing,  and the first time I actually burned it. Any suggestions greatly  appreciated!!!

I used "Heat & Bond Light" and fused the lame to muslin which I had prewashed. The heat and bond uses a pretty low fuse temp which will help with not melting the lame. Also, you don't use steam with the H&B so that also works better for the lame too. You should also use a press cloth on top of the lame.
