| Chapter III Teenage Years The Race |
| Teenage Years It was the next morning.Nitzan was feeling alot better.So thye went along with their lives for 3 more years.It was Desperado's 13'th birthday.He had grown legs,and wings!He was the{currently}only one of his kind to have wings.He knew his power,as well. Power Friendship He was so proud of himself. His coat was shimmery and shined in the sunlight He had also grown So big,that he was now larger than his brother.His silvery Feathers branched out beautifully from his long slender back.He now was also beginning to actually HELP Drake in the chores of the Cabin.He helped catch cod in the pond,and loved to go hunting the deep forests. He loved his brother dearly,and started to show his power.He was a guardian,and was a very beautifully colored animal.He felt he was THE best. Drake gave him more freedoms too.He now got to leave the cabin and go WHEREVER he wishes.He liked to prowl around the unicorn herd,whitch now had a new risen leader,Spirit's younger brother.He loved his sweet life,and enjoyed living in his little Cabin with Drake.He is a sub adult now,and he will soon be an adult.He would be so happy to grow up and take care of things with Drake till the end.But,when he was young he could barely remember a song he heard often in his shell.It went something like this,"Always friends forever!Always Friends Forever..." He remembered it soothing him.He loved Drake to peices,and would want to die before he,for life would be so hard without him. The Race It was a very hot Sunday afternoon,and Drake was riding Spirit along in the purple flowers.Notzan was plopping up and down on the butt of the unicorn,quite pleased of the feeling.=) Desperado was proudly soaring ahead,looking for any sight of deer or Unicorns.He spotted some speaks on the horizon and fly back to Drake."What,Desperado?" "I believe Unicorns on the horizon..." He trailed off as a wicked grin spread on his face.You scream,"No!!!"You didn't feel like him chasing the herd all over the place.But,before you said No,he was off and gone down in the flower covered grass.He came back,white eyed."The leader...he..is....aggressive..." He trailed off,as he plunged off behind Spirit.Suddenlt,Spirit bolted,and flew like an eagle.His long powerful legs wiftly pumped up and down,his neck soaring through the windy air.Blue orbs shimmering with anger,fear,and entisety.He came apon the herd quickly.His brother stood erect in dominance.Spirit reared in a challenge.Exept...it was a race.His brother gladly accepted.They decided out the start and finifh,rather bitterly,never saying a kind or even neutral word in the conversation.Drake screamed,"Go!"and the unicorns were off.Spirit's neck pumped up and down,horn like a bea con of dominance.His colors all floated inot one,and zebra look.His eyes flashed with delight,and his winnies of joy showed as he stuck his head in front.His brother was fading away. He pulled up in front,his hooves dances like fire dlys.He was shining in dark.He sung a song in his head,to help him persevere. "Can't you see? Theres a feeling thats come over me. Close my eyes Your the only one that leaves me completely breathless. There no wondering why, you can't deny, Cause I wanted to fly,so you gave me your wings.. And you set me free. ****** Theres a will, theres a way Sometimes words can't explain This is real, I'm scared. I will always remember you...Cause you set me free."
