The 1971-72 Mariners finished above the .500 mark in the
Parkland conference with a 9-7 record, and were 10-8 overall.
Co-captains Randy Szukalski and Tom Trepczyk guided the team throughout the season. Trepczyk
finished 2nd in the conference in scoring and was voted 2nd team All-Parkland. Szukalski was
5th in the conference in scoring, and received Honorable Mention All-Parkland honors.
Rounding out Coach McKeon's squad were Mike McKeon, Don Feldmeyer, Jim Zausch, Geoff Loferski,
Nick Poznanski, Mike Chovanec, Chris Ligocki, Paul Michalski, Jim Kuehl, Mark Maio, John Parks,
Joe Block, and Gordie Behling. Four men shared managerial duties: John Stachnik, Dale Linneman,
Bill Wood, and Andy Burazin.
