The Mariners posted an 8-8 conference record during the 1973-74 campaign. Senior
co-captains Russ Szulkalski and Lance Wenger were the Mariners' team leaders throughout
the season. Skukalski was a strong force on the boards, while Wenger was the top scorer.
Lance's 32 points vs. Whitnall were a conference season high. Both Russ and Lance made
2nd team All-Parkland. Junior point guard Doug Sarver was named Honorable Mention All Parkland.
Junior guard Jim Rawski and sophomore forward Dave Dorlack rounded out the starting 5.
Jim Brisleden, Robert Meleski, Bill Seaman, Tom Christman, Mark Campbell, Gary McDonald, Paul
Malek, and Bob Tylke rounded out the Mariner squad for Coach McKeon. Gary Staszewski was the
manager, Bob Disch was the statistician, and Steve Lockwood was the trainer.
