The
1974-75 was noted for its scrappy style of play. They began the season
with a heartbreaking loss (69-68) to conference powerhouse Franklin. After
that, the Mariners went through an up and down year, but always hustled, and
gave all opponents a tough game. The Mariners were 7-9 in Parkland
conference action and 7-11 overall. They were led by seniors Doug Sarver
and Jim Rawski, and juniors Dave Dorlack, Bill Malek, Steve Tomski, Pat McKeon,
Ken Neary, and Mike Laskowski. Bill Chilson, Rory Szulkalski, Scott Berg,
Dan Burazin, Mike Campbell, Ken Whalen, and Phil Caruso rounded out Coach
McKeon's squad. Mark Staszewski and Mike Wankowski were the managers.
