1979-80 Season

St. Francis Mariners The 79-80 Mariners finished 7-12 overall, and 5-11 in the Parkland conference. They put together a modest 2 game winning streak at the end of the season, playing the role of spoiler to both New Berlin West and New Berlin Eisenhower's conference title hopes. However, the Mariners ended the season with a loss to Kewauskem in the WIAA Class B sub-regional.

Senior Center Joe Tomski was named first team All-Parkland, and led the Mariners with a 21.3 ppg average in conference. Senior guard Terry Brown was named Honorable Mention All-Parkland. Forward Brian Lemke was the only other senior on the squad, and he started all but one game. Juniors Chris TeKampe and Tom Saskowski were the other 2 starters for Coach Terry Benka. Juniors Tom Dorlack, Mike Melotik, Tom Rice, Dave Behling, Dan Graf, Mike Szydlowski, and managers Jim Burazin and Norm Goeschko rounded out the squad for Coach Benka.
