4 Following a child's growth 4.2 Counsellors As will be seen below, the amount of modules offered will be tremendous; some will be compulsory for everyone, some will be prerequisites to be taken before another module is taken. To find one's way in this labyrinth of possibilities, students will be able to consult so called counsellors. There will be local general cousellors attached to day care centers or schools and there will be counselors that specify in a certain field of study or business to give more in depth advice. The local general counselors are encouraged to know the local kids almost as well as the day care center staff workers, that is, they might have meals together or organize workshops and seminars for the kids and can keep an eye on their curriculum and results. The reason for this is that I believe that with their broad knowledge of possibilities, they can open up the students' minds and hint them about jobs or fields of study they haven't thought of on their own and the better a counselor knows his students, the more likely he is to guess their interests and talents. Once a general direction is chosen, a student will need more professional help which can be provided by one of the specialized counsellors. They too can be found in schools or education centers; a general counselor might specialize in one or two subjects. 4.1 Childcare 5 Organizing one's studies 6 Grading students 7 Refreshing the system |
