Rules

The first player is randomly chosen when the game starts. The first word must be placed on the board to read either across or down with one letter occupying the CENTRE SQUARE. Diagonal words are not allowed.

Click on Play to complete your turn and you will be given as many new letters as you played so that you always have seven letters on your rack, as long as there are enough tiles left in the bag.

C ontrol will be passed to the next player and then each in turn. Each adds one or more letters to those already played to form new words. All letters played on a turn must be placed in one row across or down the board, to form at least one complete word. If, at the same time, they touch others letters in adjacent rows, those must also form complete words, crossword fashion, with all such letters.

No tile may be shifted or replaced after it has been played and scored.

There is no blank tile.

You may use a turn to exchange all, some, or none of the letters. To do this, click on Swap or Skip.

The game ends when all letters have been drawn and all players choose to Skip when all possible plays have been made.

Scoring

Board is color coded.

  • Light blue - double letter score
  • Dark blue - triple letter score
  • Pink - double word score
  • Red - triple word score

The player gets full credit for all words formed or modified on his or her turn.

Usage

Write the letters you have on your rack directly onto the chosen positions on the board. Invalid letters you do not own will be discarded. You can write continuously down or across the board.

Delete or cancel letters you have placed onto the board by scratching them out (for a block of letters), writing a ChevronUp on top of the letter, or simply tapping on it.

Tap on a letter on your rack to select it for swapping. To unselect it, tap once again.

Use Play to complete your turn after placing down the letters. Click on Swap if you want to use a turn to exchange all or some of the letters. Click on Skip if you want to skip the turn.  Click on Cancel if you want to undo all your moves.
