Today we were scheduled to visit Phoenix Contact in Blomberg. Dr.Meier told us that it was postponed to the following day. For the day, we continued to read up about PC WORX and INTERBUS.

We had a trip to Blomberg. We visited Phoenix Contact and we met up with our supervisors-to-be. They are Mr Joachim PUCKER and Mr Christopher HADI. There was a meeting and in it we were presented with some company background, some details about INTERBUS and the expectations of our attachment. Our Master Controller was also changed.

Finally the whole hardware worked. Michael Fuhs gave us a brief run-through on programming for PC WORX. It is possible to programme it in Graphical and Text languages. I prefer using the text language because it is quite similar to VHDL, a language learnt in the module MCTE.

Today Michael gave us tasks to accomplish using PC WORX. We managed to finish the first task, which is to have Running LEDs shown at the digital output.

Travelled to Berlin. Toured Berlin with the students of FH-Lippe.

Second day of touring Berlin.
Sunday 8.06.2003
Third day of touring Berlin. In the late afternoon, we took a train to Hamburg and slept there.
