Done with a 2-station setup, we proceeded to construct the 5-station test rack. We brought in more InterBus modules & cables. After fixing them up, we programmed the new code for testing the time delays.

We set the baud rate to 2400 bps & we tested the delays for 3-, 4- & 5-station setups. We initially encountered a mistake when we forgot to remove redundant programme blocks. This caused massive delays in our test.
Wednesday 06.08.2003
We continued testing at the different baudrates of 4800, 9600 & 19200 bps.
Thursday 07.08.2003
We edited the original Quickstart guide toinclude some more instructions for fixing up a multi-station system. We also compiled the delay results and made some graphs & conclusions.

We completed the reports and submitted them to Mr Pucker. He commented that we were going too fast for him. His next task for us wasn't in yet. We did some extra experiments with our existing test rack. I replaced part of the copper-wire network with optical-fibre converters and optical cables. The system work as usual. The benefit of using optical fibres is that the distance of application of this system can be extended longer compared to using only copper wires. Due to transportation arrangements we left the office at 14:30.

National Day! What's the big deal, you think I care? Stefan Schrader invited me to his house for "Coffee & Cakes". Later in the evening he brought us to Bodenwerder to attend the "lighting festival". The day closed after we watched a big fireworks display there. This is much much better & was much much longer than Singapore's.
