Here's proof of something I went through the other day. I got banned from the Omni side Infobot because the person didn't want to pay 5m for Chosen armor creation and said an Engineer ex-orgmate did it for free.

My prices aren't any other Engineer prices. YOU DON'T have to come to me for services. I'm sure there are at least 5-10 other Engineers on RKII that can combine Chosen/Faithful Glyphs. If you don't like the Engineer's prices, then don't go to that Engineer. Many of us tradeskill for money to buy personal things and to other Tradeskill items. Just like a Fixer blitzs for money.


Just wanted to share an unpleasant experience I had with a rather extreme person who didn't want to pay. =\

Luckily I haven't had any experiences like this yet. But I'm just getting in the level range where I am starting to get a noticable increase in requests (lvl 161 atm).

And I agree with you 100%. If he doesn't like your prices, he can go somewhere else. Just like in real life. By banning you he is just showing his maturity level. As if he didn't already show it in the messages.

I hope that he sees this message and bans me from XXXXXXXX. That would be very funny.... especially since I'm clan. hehe

Sad to see this happened to you. I also charge for this service, especially if it's from someone whom I don't know. I have made a few exceptions to the charging rule, but that was always because the customer was sent specifically to me by a "regular" customer. In that situation I expect that the new customer knows the score regarding a nice tip and I have yet to be disappointed.

Course with more and more Tier 3 glyphs coming to me I probably better stop doing that whole trust thing soon...

heh, that's the reason I don't do tradeskill for strangers. I only do tradeskilling for firends. For stranger, I just reply I am a pure gimp engi and I don't tradeskilling at all... hehe even thought I can make 4 gem with ease.

Of all the acts like this I've seen / heard of, this has to be the worst. I'm a Rimor Eng, however I'm 100% clan and therefore have no idea who this is, and have no intention of finding out. But this is the sickest thing I've seen in a long time.

Not purely because he didn't wanna charge, thats bad enough, but the fact he banned you from a bot is just... well... harassment in my opinion.

I've started an engie just the other day, cause all my other chars needs someone who can tradeskill for'em...
Would you charge some lowlevel guy for making a ql20 patch of living hide? Or is it only the highlevel tradeskilling u charge?

I only do highlevel tradeskilling. If someone comes needing a ql20 hide made, I tell them to find someone else that is lower level. And thats because lower lvl people needs the tips they can get.

Sometimes the customer then starts to whine that he has been looking for soooooo long. And in some rare cases I just do the job quickly and hand them the stuff for free, telling them to look harder next time. But if its a big job, like Carbonum full set, I never do it unless its a friend or the tip is huge. By setting high prices on "mundane" tradeskill jobs, I get rid of those big jobs, at the same time as someone lower level than be benefits from the tip.

Well, imo peeps can charge what they want. Its just a fact it makes economy stronger when there is healty competition. But there should be some list like elbo's post for minimum prices or else economy will drop and we will go down with it..

A ql 20 armor i make for free, its good to help out people too u know.. for high lvl stuff i like a good tip as any engi....^^

As Roedran put it "I hear we have been banned for using our Notum Wars expansion".

I'm splitting Wtfnet into Guidenet and Wtfnet. All guides will be on Guidenet which will make me able to ban all clan from Wtfnet A pure omni bot + clan activeties is a bad idea in the first place. That way Guidenet will have 0 input whatsoever, so no banlist will be required for that.

And if Applepai would check her facts instead of drama queening, she would notice she was banned from around 10min because of a conversation with Hitomi. I did contact Applepai, and if she refuses to do something for me that dont give me the liberty to ban her no, as hitomi told about the time xxxxx asked him to clean an imp and he said "Meet me on rk3" and he freaked, heh that cracked me up. I dont charge though, but ill just be the bigger man and not complain about it Charge all you want, my bots will always be free (Except the 1 month guildbot hosting which is 30mill).
