The Ancient Egyptian Moon God, Thoth.


Thoth the ancient Egyptian Moon God, is often depict as having an ibis head, a large bird of the River Nile, wearing a crown of crescent moon topped with a moon disk. He is a powerful and wisest of ancient Egyptian God, in Egyptian mythology he is a God known for his incredible power in healing, medicine, science, ritual, magic, divine speech, great knowledge, wisdom, music, writing, drawing and numbers. He is also credited for inventing astronomy, geometry and medicine. He was the measurer of earth, the counter of stars and the keepers of the book of knowledge, the book of the dead in the hall of Maat, serving to record the judgement on the souls of the dead.

As the Egyptian God of learning and messenger of God, he was highly protective of all his powers. He was the measurer of time, the founder of the Egyptian calender, and is credited with devising the standard 365 days year, he was also thought to be the God of the first month of the Egyptian calender. He was the wise one whose words had the ability to control mysterious forces, the power to call things into being, the magician possess a higher and deeper knowledge, an understanding of the secret nature, and of the hidden connections, which held things together.
