Special Note: The above diet is a all rounder healthy menu for healthy, old or sick dogs. The amount of meat fed should be in ratio of about 40% for young healthy dogs to about 20% for old or diabetic/kidney problem dogs. The above menu suggest the amount use in cooking ratio, not the amount to be fed each meal. Kindly determine by yourself how much is needed for each meal, as the dog will be fed on two meals a day based on the above menu, all unused portion can be stored in the freezer for 3 days and steam-up when needed. The digestive aid in the menu ensure proper absorption of nutrient, as well ensure the dog has proper digestive system all the more important as your dogs usually has a tendency to vomiting. Please also feed yakult or vitagen regularly to your dogs to ensure a proper digestive system and make sure you do not increase their kidney detoxifying load by buying only the non flavored or non-coloured ones. The brown rice used in the menu is specially for dogs with good digestion, if your dog is not used to brown rice please add in white rice according to its digestion or eating habit, and wean it off white rice slowly, if not possible please use only organic white rice. For healthy dogs please subsitute the menu once a week using cargo rice. For old dogs if their digestion is not too good and vomiting undigested feed, please put everything into a cooker and cook longer, after cooking mash all vegetables with a hand masher, monitor for digestion problem by checking on vomiting and stool condition.
Mid-day meal - Please give fruits , the idea is to supplement raw enzyme and potassium of the following calculation in natural form for a healthy disease free pet. Small dogs below 50 lbs - approx. 500 mg potassium and big dog above 50 lbs - approx 1000mg potassium. Please serve about 50 gms of fruits for small dogs and 100gms for big dogs, this can prevent enzyme and potassium deficiency which is very vital for good health. You can combine various fruits like banana, melon,papaya, pear, and some finely grated carrot.
