kisou means...

well it doesn't mean anything. it's made-up. the characters are for oni and burial. though there are several ways to interpret the underlying meaning. In fact according to an interview the character for "burial" can have an entirely different nuance that would change the meaning a bit. The Oni part was chosen partially because they felt the album had a bit of a Japanese flavor to it.

Here's what Karou says: "The meaning is actually probably opposite to the order of the characters, "bury the demon"
meaning "hide the taboo" (hide something that noone should see)

Here's what Die says (in a nutshell): I thought it was more like
the songs have been shelved in the album. (like they are completed by the album...)

Toshiya: I don't think there ever was such a thing as an oni. There all those fairy tales and what not but actually people were the oni. Bearing sadness ones becomes oni. I think it's a very sad meaning.... the word Homuru has many ways to interpret it and one of those is "throw away" maybe people are throwing away the sadness that makes them oni. It could be that or it could be that there's something inside of you that you can't get a grasp on, that by burying it you can then begin something... in a way contrary to what you might think its a very easy to comprehend title.

Shinya: an oni is the jaded part lurking in a person's heart
kisou... is so much more jaded than that, that you wouldn't think the portion of oni lurking in people's hearts jaded at all.

Kyo: When you think of oni don't you think of burning? On the other hand when you think of "burial" don't you have an image of coldness? But still each is kind of a warm thing... these two types of songs fill the album.

sorry that was so long winded... This all from Fool's Mate by the way. quickly parphrased by me.
