Keeping | Tosakin is a Japanese version of the Ryukin they say.
Main difference with the fan tail is that this has high arching back from which the dorsal fin extends even higher. Back appears almost like a
hump which begins just behind the head. The fish has an undivided tail and a divided anal fin.The tail is
splayed horizontally and forwards. The body is very heavy in these species. Tosakins can live upto 10 years. Tosakins are available
in all colours as Ryukins and are quite exotic. They are excellent for beginners like and
are quite sturdy compared to other fancy golds. They also do well in outdoor ponds provided the temperature
does not drop too low.
