Mobile Suit Gundam 00: Episode List
(11-15)

11. "Allelujah"
"アレルヤ"

Graham discusses the outcome of the battle between the HRL and Celestial Being with Howard and Daryl. Eifman discusses the results of his GN particle research with Billy. He concludes that the particles are multi-variation photons and that the Gundams can generate them on their own. Billy wonders why a brilliant scientist like Aeolia would set out on such an unrealistic mission to stop war, and Eifman thinks it's a warning to humanity, which has spread into space even though it hasn't given up war. On the bridge of the Ptolemaios, Tieria criticizes Sumeragi for everything that happened during the battle with Sergei. Lockon points out that it was Tieria who revealed the Gundam Nadleeh to the enemy, so he's also responsible. Tieria says he would've died otherwise, and Lockon tells him he should be happy to be alive. In his quarters, Allelujah thinks about the Tieren Taozi and can't believe that the HRL's horrible human research continued. At the HRL space station, Sergei's commander tells him that the information he gathered on Celestial Being was too little given the sacrifices of equipment and men. Given the unknown nature of the Gundams' capabilities, Sergei doesn't think it's wise to continue to attempt a capture, and the commander agrees. He informs Sergei that the HRL will soon conduct secret negotiations with the Union over the Gundams. A female pilot asks Soma to avenge Ming and the others in the next battle, and Soma answers that she will do her best to complete whatever mission she's assigned. The super soldier scientist researches the data on the Gundam Kyrios and finds Allelujah's file from the project. According to the file, Allelujah developed a violent second personality after his modification and was eventually disposed of. Sergei calls and asks the scientist if he's uncovered any information, but the scientist lies and says no. Sergei believes the pilot of the Gundam Kyrios has quantum brain waves, and the scientist says it's possible other countries were enhancing people too. Allelujah wonders what he should do next, and the image of Hallelujah tells him that the enhancement agency's existence is a war-inciting action. Allelujah asks if he should kill his own kind, and Hallelujah mocks him for being too weak for the task. Allelujah says they can capture them, but Hallelujah shoots back that there's no future for modified people other than to fight. Allelujah turns out to say no and instead faces a confused Setsuna. In Azadistan, Marina meets with Alejandro to discuss the construction of solar power receivers. Alejandro thinks Marina should visit the construction site to boost morale, and Shirin shrewdly comments that that would be a great way to assassinate Marina. She directly asks Alejandro why the UN is helping Azadistan, and he explains that the UN wants to use Azadistan as a model for Middle East peace. In her quarters, Sumeragi asks Allelujah if he's come to complain as well, but he gives her data on an intervention for her and Veda to consider. Allelujah vows that this time he'll end everything himself.

Louise's mother eats delicious Japanese food that it turns out was made by Saji, but she comments that even if he's a good cook, she won't approve of his relationship with Louise. Elsewhere, Kinue and her partner stakeout a building in hopes of tracing Aeolia's financial activity. Two men exit the building, and she explains that they're from the Union's National Security Agency and have visited the building three times in the last week. On the Ptolemaios, Sumeragi tells Allelujah that she's reviewed his data about the project and his past, and both she and Veda agree on the need to intervene. She asks Allelujah if he'll be ok killing his own kind, and he says he'll face his past. Setsuna and Lockon launch in their Gundams and head down to Earth to intervene in a South African war, and the Ptolemaios heads for Lagrange point 4, where the HRL's Quanqiu space colony is located. Floating in a computer sphere, Tieria watches a video of Sumeragi's conversation with Allelujah. Kinue and her partner visit a man named Matsubara, and he tells them that NSA agents instructed him not to tell anyone about his great grandfather, an engineer who disappeared about 200 years ago. She concludes that Aeolia probably recruited many leading scientists of the time for his plan. In South Africa, Setsuna and Lockon easily destroy groups of attacking Anfs. In space, Allelujah and Tieria approach Quanqiu and come under attack from several Tierens. Allelujah proceeds to the colony while Tieria destroys the Tierens. HRL officers are shocked by Celestial Being's appearance because fighting in a colony is prohibited by treaty. Allelujah's quantum brain waves react negatively when they interact with the children inside the research facility. Allelujah thinks it would be unfortunate for the children to die, but Hallelujah tells him to stop forcing his opinions on others. He says that Allelujah's kindness is hypocritical and just for self-gratification. He asks if Allelujah can't do it and needs his help again. The whole reason he exists is so that Allelujah can lock away the things he doesn't want to do and say it's not his fault. Hallelujah urges him to shoot to kill his target. Allelujah goes berserk and fires his missiles, which completely destroy the building. Allelujah and Tieria head back to the Ptolemaios, and Sumeragi tells Christina to leak the details of the program to the mass media. At the HRL station, Sergei has the scientist arrested for hiding information that could have prevented the incident from occurring and leaking to the outside world. Allelujah visits Sumeragi in her quarters and asks for a drink because he feels as though he needs one. She jokes that she doesn't want to be a criminal because he's still underage, but he tells her that he just turned 20. After toasting, he asks her why she likes something so bitter, and she tells him he'll understand someday.

12. "Toward a Doctrine's Result"
"教義の果てに" (Kyougi no Hate ni)

At a mosque in Azadistan, several men tell religious leader Rasul Massoud Rakhmadi that Parliament is defying the will of God by allowing heretics to enter the country. They think now is the time to strike before they lose out to the reformists, but Rasul tells them to calm down because God will bring down divine punishment upon Marina and Parliament. The men insist that they need to fight, but their meeting is interrupted when several masked gunmen storm the mosque and open fire. After the war six years ago, Azadistan annexed the former Kurdish Republic and revived its monarchy, but the country is now split between two political groups, making the country extremely volatile. Shirin informs Marina that Massoud has been kidnapped, and that the conservatives probably think it was the reformists who did it. Shirin believes it was spurred on by the UN's presence in Azadistan, which though approved by Parliament isn't approved of by the entire populace. She wants Marina to consider the worst-case scenario if Massoud turns up dead: civil war. On the streets, security forces deploy to hold back protesters who demand that the UN leave and burn posters of Marina. On her private plane, Wang receives a call from Alejandro about the deteriorating situation in Azadistan. At JNN headquarters, Kinue's assistant finds reports of 138 people with doctorates who disappeared over the last 200 years. Elsewhere, Saji wins over Louise's mom by bringing her a pizza from his job. She says that Saji is a good boy and resembles her late husband, and Louise points out that her father is still alive. Marina recalls meeting with Massoud shortly before becoming the first princess. She told him that even if she was just a figurehead, she wanted to do her part to help. She asked for his support, but he said he would take the opposing stand. He said that though she may want to recreate the nation, many people, himself included, hate change. To prevent others from taking up arms, they'd need someone they can empathize with - Massoud. She asks Shirin if Parliament is willing to consider her suggestion about a mutual compromise, but Shirin answers that there's no time for that. The reformists have been secretly negotiating with the Union and are asking for military assistance. In the air, Graham's anti-Gundam team heads for Azadistan. In the Azadistan desert, Hong Long tells Setsuna and Lockon that they're on standby. Lockon asks Wang what she's going to do, and she explains that they have to get Massoud to prevent civil war. Setsuna heads for the city and is eyed suspiciously by people on the street. A young boy selling water asks Setsuna if there are really tall towers that go up into space, and Setsuna answers yes. An old man then rudely tells Setsuna to leave because he can tell that Setsuna is Kurdish. Massoud wonders how he'll escape from the men holding him, who are led by Ali. At night, a renegade Anf military pilot opens fire on his comrades and the solar energy receiver antenna. Flying above, Graham and his men can't tell who the traitors are, and suddenly the Anfs come under fire from Lockon. From nearby, Ali fires a spread of missiles at the antenna, but there's too many for Lockon to hit.

Marina is informed that the antenna has been destroyed by ultraconservative agents who infiltrated the army, and Shirin notes that it's almost as if they knew about Massoud's kidnapping beforehand. Graham orders Howard and Daryl to find Ali while he takes on Lockon. Lockon tries to snipe Graham, but Graham transforms and dodges. Lockon misses again, and Graham gets in close enough to kick him. He attacks with his plasma blade, forcing Lockon to defend with his beam saber. Lockon fires several shots from his beam pistol, but Graham deflects them all with his defense rod. Graham rushes in again, but he halts when an emergency communication comes in that Azadistan army mobile suits have launched from their Zeir base without authorization and are heading toward the royal palace as part of a coup d'etat. The rebel Anfs march through the streets of the capital and come under fire from the army. Ribbons tells Alejandro that they should find shelter, but Alejandro says he wants to see a Gundam. Setsuna descends from the sky and heads to the battle in the city. Lockon and Graham stand completely still, but Graham regrettably breaks off to head for the city. He asks Howard and Daryl about what they found, but they tell him they couldn't detect the other mobile suit with all the GN particles blocking radar. In the city, Setsuna attacks the renegade Anfs and slices them apart with his GN sword. Watching the battle from his hotel room, Alejandro concludes that Setsuna relies too much on the Gundam's abilities. Wang calls Setsuna and tells him that renegade Anfs have also launched from the Gazuna base and are on their way. As Setsuna arrives at the Kesh region, he sees child guerillas killed while fighting Anfs and is reminded of his own past. Setsuna rushes in and destroys three Anfs, but he's too late to save the three child guerillas who were seeking cover. Two more Anfs appear and open fire, and Setsuna goes berserk. Later, Saji and Louise's mother watch a JNN report about Celestial Being's armed intervention in Azadistan. On the Ptolemaios, Christina tells Sumeragi that they have an emergency message from Veda about the coup d'etat in Azadistan. In the city, Union reinforcements arrive and achieve air superiority. Graham notes that such tragedies result from unrestricted religious faith. Elsewhere, Ali flies away and is annoyed by the constant interference of the Gundams. Marina is disappointed that she allowed a coup and an armed intervention of Celestial Being to occur under her watch. She falls to her knees and begins to cry, but Shirin tells her it isn't over yet. With the battle over, Setsuna declares that he can't become a Gundam.

13. "The Return of a Saint"
"聖者の帰還" (Seija no Kikan)

Although the Union forces helped end the attempted coup in Azadistan's capital, terrorist attacks continue. Marina addresses the citizens on TV and urges them to stay calm. Shirin informs Marina that even though they're working with the Union, they have yet to find Massoud. Shirin thinks to herself that the situation can't get any worse since the Union is involved and Celestial Being appeared. On Wang's private plane, Lockon raises the possibility that a third party was in involved in setting off Azadistan's civil war and kidnapping Massoud. Although it's his opinion, he tells Hong Long that even Veda has predicted this possibility. Wang asks why he thinks that, and he points out that a long-range missile attack was carried out on the solar energy receiver antenna, most likely by a mobile suit. Because of that, Lockon has sent Setsuna to investigate the site. Setsuna scans the area on foot and picks up residual traces of a mobile suit. As he climbs a hill, he quickly hides behind a rock when he spots Billy and Graham on the other side. Billy begins to say something, but Graham stops him and calls out to Setsuna, saying it's rude to eavesdrop. Setsuna reveals himself, and using a boyish voice, he claims that he's there because he heard there was a battle in the area. Billy tells him that the area is still dangerous, so Setsuna excuses himself and begins to walk off. Graham asks Setsuna what he thinks about the civil war and which side he's on. Setsuna says that he's on neither and that both sides have their justifications, but the end result is that people still die. Setsuna thinks that the presence of soldiers will cause more death, but Graham points out that Setsuna is also fighting and asks about the gun that he's hiding behind his back. He then switches topics and asks Billy about the recent attack being carried out by an AEU Enact, which was stolen from PMC Trust. As they walk off, Billy asks Graham why he did that, and Graham answers that his tongue slipped. Setsuna thinks about that information and realizes that it must be Ali who's responsible. As Howard and Daryl fly a patrol over the city, more terrorist bombs explode, but there's nothing they can do in the air with their mobile suits. At the royal palace, a woman comes to see Marina and pulls out a gun, declaring that Marina is a reformist puppet. Before she can shoot, two bodyguards open fire and kill her. Setsuna calls Lockon and tells him that he wants to investigate a specific location. As Lockon prepares to leave, Wang asks him to bring Hong Long along because he's good at rescuing people. In an abandoned town, Ali expresses annoyance over how Celestial Being has disrupted his plans. His men then call him and inform him that the Gundam Exia is approaching.

Setsuna approaches the abandoned town where he fought years earlier as a guerilla. Ali realizes that Setsuna must be the pilot of the Gundam since he knew about their hiding place. Setsuna rushes in to attack when Ali appears with his Enact. Setsuna contacts Ali and asks him why he's here if the war is over and the Kurdish nation has been destroyed. Ali fires at Setsuna, but Setsuna dodges his attacks and returns fire. After slicing into the Enact, he angrily demands to know why Ali is here and where his God is, but Ali refuses to answer. Ali then slams into Setsuna and slams him into the ground. He says that the Gundam is wasted on Setsuna and tries to rip the cockpit open. Setsuna uses his GN sword to slice off the Enact's right arm, forcing Ali to withdraw. At the same time, Ali's men escape from the town with Massoud in tow. As they travel across the desert at night, they come across the Gundam Dynames, which opens fire. When the trucks stop, a masked Hong Long dropkicks two of the mercenaries. In the next truck, three men point guns at Massoud's head. Hong Long demands that they hand him over, and Lockon kills all three with a personal sniper rifle. Massoud asks Hong Long who he is, and Hong Long explains that he's with Celestial Being. The Gundam Exia then lands nearby, and Setsuna asks Massoud to get in. On the Ptolemaios, Tieria yells at Sumeragi about her plan, but Allelujah agrees with her and says that they need to display their beliefs to the world. At the royal palace, Marina is informed that Celestial Being sent a message stating that they will hand over Massoud and that they want her to begin cease fire negotiations. Later, protesters gather outside the palace and are held back by the army, with Graham and his men watching from nearby. Leaders from around the world watch news reports of Celestial Being's alleged rescue of Massoud. Louise and Saji also watch the news, but her mother sits too close to Saji for her comfort. The unarmed Gundam Exia lands in the courtyard and approaches the palace. Shirin can't believe it came without weapons, and Marina gives orders for the army to not open fire. However, several men in the crowd open fire on the Gundam Exia because they want it to leave their holy land. Setsuna ignores them and slowly walks forward. Four Anfs demand that he hand over Massoud and open fire. Setsuna absorbs the damage and continues walking forward, and the Anfs are forced to make way for him. After reaching the balcony, Setsuna opens the cockpit, and Massoud thanks him before leaving. Although Setsuna's face is masked by his visor, Marina calls out to him, and he tells her that what happens from this point on will determine if Celestial Being returns. As Setsuna leaves, Howard and Daryl want to give chase, but Graham says that if they do so, the entire world will turn against them. Lockon wonders if the problem will go away, and Wang says it probably won't, but they're a step closer to the day when people stop fighting. Later, Marina and Massoud issue a joint statement calling for an end to the civil war and terrorist attacks, but the fighting continues.

14. "Dawn of Determination"
"決意の朝" (Ketsui no Asa)

A JNN panel discussion mentions the disappearances of leading scientists over the last 200 years. At a secret, unofficial meeting, the leaders of the three superpowers discuss a plan to join forces and take on the Gundams. Near the Union's colony at Lagrange point 1 lies an asteroid field where the Ptolemaios is docked at a secret Celestial Being dock. Ian tells Allelujah that he didn't have to stay aboard the ship, but Allelujah says he has something to think over. On Earth, Sumeragi and Wang tan by the pool, and Wang notes that nanomachines have reduced the harshness of living in space, but Sumeragi believes it'll still be some time before humanity lives in space beyond colonies. Lichtendahl tries to film them with a video camera, and Christina points out that what he's doing is sexual harassment. Feldt uses Haro to learn the names of flowers in the garden, while Lasse performs one-handed push ups. Tieria performs a computer analysis of the effect of their interventions and concludes that global conflicts have been reduced by 38%, and that 63% of military-related companies have withdrawn from the industry. Lichtendahl calls Lockon and pesters him, so Lockon hangs up. From his car, Lockon examines a memorial that was the site of the terrorist attack where he lost his parents. At JNN, Kinue's editor tells her that her report on Celestial Being brought in huge ratings. He wants her to next investigate their effect on the economy, but she convinces him to let her continue looking into Aeolia because she believes Celestial Being has some goal other than what they've publicly stated. Louise and Saji say goodbye to her mother, and Saji asks Setsuna for a favor when he walks by. U.S. President Bryan reviews the documents for Project G, which calls for luring the Gundams to an enriched uranium dumping site in the Taklamakan Desert. His assistant points out that it's a good site for a military exercise because it's remote and surrounded by mountains. The AEU's parliament debates on how many forces to contribute to the plan, and the HRL leader muses on the possibility of ruling the world. At the MSWAD base, Graham tells Howard and Daryl that their anti-Gundam unit has been officially designated "Over Flags" and will include 12 ace pilots, each of whose Flags will be upgraded by Eifman to custom specs. At and HRL desert base, Sergei tells Soma that they'll be deploying soon, but he hasn't received exact orders yet. At an AEU base, Patrick makes out with a woman and is late for duty, so commanding officer Kathy Mannequin punches him twice in the face. Patrick straightens out and thinks to himself that he's in love. Alejandro watches a video of Setsuna returning Massoud and comments to Ribbons that he's acting like some martyr. The Gundams, he says, are built to achieve objectives and kill people. While taking a shower, Sumeragi gets a message from Billy that he wants to meet and show her some documents.

At Saji's apartment, Louise cries on the sofa while Saji and Setsuna uncomfortably sit next to each other. Setsuna says he doesn't understand why Louise feels lonely because she can visit her mother anytime. Louise then throws a temper tantrum and tosses a pillow at Saji, and Setsuna leaves when he gets a call. Wang and Hong Long inform the rest of the crew that the three superpowers are beginning a large-scale joint military exercise. Sumeragi tells everyone to enjoy themselves while they can because there will probably be an armed intervention. In space, the Ptolemaios leaves the secret asteroid dock and heads for Earth. Sumeragi meets with Billy in a bar to discuss the "simulated" military plan to capture Gundams that he sent to her. Billy asks her for analysis, and she says that too little is known about the Gundams. Billy says that they can't match the Gundams in technology, but they could beat them back with superior numbers and force them to fight to exhaustion. Sumeragi counters that the Gundams may have autopilots to compensate for that, or even a self-destruct device. Sumeragi gets up to leave, and Billy tells her she should visit the base because Eifman is worried about her. He asks if there's someone waiting for her and says he won't be too calm about it if someone is. The military exercise is announced to the world as a joint effort to train for defending the orbital elevators. On a carrier in the Pacific Ocean, Howard and Daryl examine the new Over Flags until they're interrupted by Joshua. After insulting them, Joshua asks if Graham killed another superior officer to get his most recent promotion. He warns them that if they don't watch out Graham will shoot them in the back. Daryl is angered, and Graham arrives and vows that he'll prove all the rumors wrong in battle. Sumeragi analyses the intelligence and tells Tieria that an area in the Taklamakan Desert has been marked as a terrorist target. If it's attacked, radioactive material will leak out and affect the entire world. Tieria wants to start an intervention immediately, and Sumeragi points out that the superpowers will immediately attack them when they get close. Lockon drives back to base, and Allelujah enters the atmosphere in the Gundam Kyrios. Christina speaks with Setsuna and notices that he's heading for Azadistan, but she keeps that to herself. At the royal palace, Marina wakes up when she hears footsteps and is surprised to see Setsuna. Setsuna asks her why the world is so misguided and wonders if it's the fault of God or man. Marina says that God is fair and that people can learn to understand each other, but when she looks up she sees that Setsuna is already gone. At an AEU French Foreign Legion base, an officer meets with a clean shaven Ali, who is using the pseudonym Gary Biaggi. The officer hands Ali secret orders and tells him he's being given the mobile armor Agrissa, which was used during the 5th Solar Conflict.

15. 'Broken Wings"
"折れた翼" (Oreta Tsubasa)

In the Taklamakan Desert, airplanes drop duplex communication devices into the sands below. Sergei thinks to himself how strange it is to be working alongside the Union and AEU. Patrick flies overhead in his Enact and vows that he'll get the Gundams, but Kathy tells him that's impossible. Graham's Over Flags squad is placed on standby, and he concludes that a total of 832 mobile suits are participating in the operation. In Tokyo, Louise window shops outside a jewelry store and says she wants Saji to buy her a pair of rings which he says he can't afford. Sitting in traffic a few feet away, Kinue wonders what they're doing. She then wonders if such a large-scale military exercise figured into Aeolia's plans too. The HRL leader is informed that terrorists Anfs are heading for the desert base and that interference has been detected in the duplex communication system. Because the HRL took the heat for the selection of the exercise grounds, he hopes they're able to capture at least two Gundams. The Gundam Dynames rides on the Gundam Kyrios as the two head for the uranium enrichment facility. When the terrorists begin their attack, Sergei realizes that the superpowers deliberately let the terrorists get close as a way to lure in the Gundams. As the Gundam Kyrios flies overhead, Lockon snipes the Anfs and several trucks. He tells Allelujah to retreat, but the two suddenly come under fire from a large missile barrage. A large squad of Realdos then attack, and Lockon jumps off of the Kyrios. The Realdos rush in and eject their torsos to slam them into Lockon and Hallelujah and force them to the ground. Another wave of missiles comes in, followed by artillery fire from Tierens and tank type Flags and bombardment by Realdos. At Wang's mansion, Christina reports that the first phase has ended, which will probably lead to the next part of the plan: deploying Setsuna and Tieria. At the AEU's forward base, Kathy orders a squad of Hellions to take off and intercept Setsuna and Tieria. Patrick storms in and asks why he hasn't received orders, and Kathy tells him he's on standby. Setsuna and Tieria decloak and are immediately spotted by a squad of Realdos, which Setsuna proceeds to destroy. Tieria then fires his GN bazooka at the ground to create a trench that will serve as their escape route. Lockon and Allelujah head for the trench to retreat, and a barrage of missiles hits Setsuna and Tieria. Allelujah suddenly screams in pain when he senses Soma's presence. Lockon spots a squad of Tierens approaching, led by Soma's Tieren Taozi.

Soma jumps into the trench and completely ignores Lockon so that she can slam into Allelujah and drag him away. Lockon attacks the other Tierens with his beam pistol, but they fall back and allow a missile barrage to hit Lockon. Nearby, Setsuna and Tieria are unable to move due to the constant barrage of missile fire. Tieria tells Setsuna that he needs 170 seconds to finish recharging his GN particles, and Setsuna says that's too long. With Allelujah unable to respond, Soma fires several shots to the Gundam Kyrios' torso at point blank range. Hallelujah takes over and asks Soma for her name, and when she gives it to him, he says it's a nice name to kill. He turns his shield into a pincer and attempts to stab Soma, but she dodges. Sergei and his men then begin firing at Hallelujah so that Soma can fall back. With Soma gone, Hallelujah is bored and hands control back to Allelujah. Five hours into the battle, Alejandro tells Ribbons that he's going to meet with the other Surveyors because his job may well be over. As night falls, Kathy tells Patrick to prepare for launch and relieve one of the squads currently in combat. The constant attacks begin to take their toll on the exhausted Meisters. Graham and the Over Flags squad launch from the Union carrier and head for the battlefield. Patrick takes off in his Enact and tells his Hellion wingmen that their objective is to capture the Gundam Virtue as soon as the attack stops. After 15 hours of constant bombardment, the attacks suddenly end on Setsuna and Tieria, so they use the opportunity to split up and retreat. As Tieria speeds across the sand, Patrick rushes in aggressively and dodges a bazooka blast. The Hellions then rush in and use vibration shields to trap the Gundam Virtue and encase it in an energy cube. Soma moves in to capture the disabled Gundam Kyrios, and Sergei warns her that it may move suddenly like last time. The Over Flags begin their attack run on Lockon, but Joshua breaks formation and transforms. He closes in on Lockon and opens fire, but Lockon hits him with his beam pistol and kills him. Graham then rushes in at high speed and transforms just before slamming into Lockon. As dawn rises, Setsuna wonders what happened to the other Meisters until he picks up something large on his radar: Ali's Enact and the mobile armor Agrissa. Ali rams the Agrissa into Setsuna and knocks him into the ground. He then deploys the Agrissa's spider legs and activates a plasma field that electrocutes Setsuna and the Gundam Exia. Shirin informs Marina about the military exercise, and Marina recalls Setsuna's visit the night before. As Setsuna screams in agony, he wonders if he'll die and recalls the appearance of the 0 Gundam. Suddenly, weapons fire from above hits the Agrissa and forces Ali to eject his Enact from it as it explodes. Setsuna looks up and sees the Gundam Throne Drei descending in the sky.
