* Diaper Free?! *

i was advised not to post naked pictures of my baby so much!
coz when he grows up, he may hate me for "exposing" him to everyone!
but today's diary entry needs these pix, baby!

having successfully EC'd Qile since Saturday, i have been feeling very satisfied with myself! besides saving money on wipes and disposables, i think Qile also feels better when he does not have to poo into his diaper or have the feel of a wet diaper on him. EC'g has given us a wonderful opportunity to communicate with each other, for me to understand his needs and for him to learn to trust me... i tell myself there is no hurry to go diaper free since i probably *may* miss one or two pees occasionally. however, it seems Qile has a mind of his own. during the day, i normally put him in a shaped cloth diaper with velcro fasteners. i find these are easy to remove quickly. today, i left him on the activity quilt while hanging the laundry and when i came back to him, what a surprise i got!! he had somehow managed to remove the diaper on his own!! the liner (clean of course) and diaper also ended up in his mouth and on his head!! my little baby is trying to tell me something! maybe...

"Mommy, i WANT to be diaper free!" perhaps! perhaps! perhaps!

edible diapers? absolutely anything goes into Qile's mouth these days!

shocked to see me discover him diaper free! ... and then that smile!!

something to share with mommies (and daddies too!): EC'g is not difficult.
try it, even if it's just part time during weekends. your caregiver can help too.
if u need to read up more on EC'g, visit this site: www.mummysmilk.com
two books i'd like to recommend:
Infant Potty Training by Laurie Boucke &
Diaper Free! The Gentle Wisdom of Natural Infant Hygiene by Ingrid Bauer
reading both these books helped me understand more about EC'g and
gave me the confidence to *just do it*
i hope to be able to graduate to EC'g Qile even when we're out
and at night. but hee... slowly lah, better not be too ambitious!
