Keiichi Morisato is looking forward to university life. But in reality, he has no luck in anything, and he has trouble with clubs, love, etc. The truth is that he has an unlucky star above his head. One day, Keiichi is stuck watching the dorm while his sempai are away, and has a mountain of chores to do to boot. But Keiichi is a good-natured person, and is set about doing his duties. As he is about to finish his final chore, he makes a phone call to his sempai. But the words that came through the receiver are, 'Goddess Help Line.' Shortly afterwards, a beautiful goddess named Belldandy appears in front of him from the mirror of his room.

Satonaka Ikko is an apprentice Buddhist priest. He is sent to Saien Temple whose chief priest is his grandmother, Jotoku. What waiting for him there are severe training, purification jobs, and 6 nuns. The situation living with nuns of the same ages sounds enviable, but actually he is treated as an errand boy, and his purification skill cannot compare with theirs. However, when he has worldly desire, his power becomes stronger than anybody.

The story continues where Ikko stays in the temple with his grandmother (Jotoku) and the nuns. This round, there's another nun from another temple, Katsu. Katsu is totally obsessed with Ikko (when he awaken his desire). She is assigned to destruct what Jotoku has planned for Ikko's power as to awake Ikko to his evil side. Meanwhile, Katsu's plans are always ruined by Chitose, who also like Ikko, and the other nuns...

Ryo is a city hunter who is casual, playful, humorous and flirty. One accident, while saving a kid, his girlfriend (Kaorin) died. Meanwhile, an assassin, Glass Heart (a Taiwanese girl) committed suicide. The group Glass Heart belongs thus saved her by robbing the heart Kaorin donated and transplanted into Glass Heart. However, Glass Heart doesn't regain consciousness after the operation. This is due to the sad story behind Glass Heart and she, being a kind soul is reluctant to kill.

Thus, the suicide has made Glass Heart to be in coma for a long time. At this period of sleep, Glass Heart dreamt of this lady (who is Kaorin) and a guy (Ryo) who enable her to feel warmth inside her heart for the first time. And one day, Glass Heart finally awakes and the first thing she does is to kill, due to assassin instinct.

After being awakened, Glass Heart left for Tyoko in search for Kaorin and Ryo. On the other side, the group has been informed of Glass Heart's awaken, and unknown to all that, Glass Heart is actually the big boss' daughter whom got separated during a car accident. Her name is Xiang Ying.

At Tokyo, Kaorin memories brought Glass Heart around and met a series of incident… Glass Heart finally meets Ryo and also her dad. As her dad wishes Glass Heart to lead an ordinary life from now on, he didn't acknowledge her. Instead, Ryo, who finds out Glass Heart being the patient receiving the heart from Kaorin, decides to adopt her and given her real identity as Xiang Ying.

Initially, Xiang Ying could not adapt to the life other than being an assassin. However, Kaorin is there deep inside to guide. Soon, Xiang Ying is living like anyone with her ex-partner Liu Hong, Ryo Papa. And the new city hunter life awaits Xiang Ying…

Aya & Aki are twins of the Miragi Family. Thus begins the adventures of Ichigo and Rukia and their mission to herd Hollows (fallen spirits) as well as confronting other spiritual beings.

Saya and David are in America. Aim is to kill the monsters.
Finally, Saya comes to the school at the American Army Base. This is where things get bloody.
At the end of this OVA, a photo of Saya and her family is shown, and stated as Vampire.
Lastly, the story moves to Japan, & Vietnam where Blood+ continues... ...

Throughout the passage of time and the shifts in backgrounds, a particular war continues to leave its mark on history, extending its influence into the modern world. There are two major groups involved in the ensuring war. The first group consists of monsters known as Chiropterans who can change their appearances into that of human beings. They are actually immortals who feed on the blood of the living. The second group is an organisation known as the "Red Shield", formed to track down these monsters and exterminate them. Otonashi Saya is a high-school girl who lives a peaceful life with her family. The only problem is, she has no recollections of her life beyond that of the past year. However, her happy life will be destroyed by an event that will lead her to her destined fate.

Saya has the ability to kill monsters, only her blood can kill them. She is accompanied by Hagi, her guardian who is a Chiropteran. As the story continues, Saya discovers that the enemy she is after is her twins sister, Diva. And the worse is that, she is a vampire too. Saya remembers what actually happened before. She is determines to kill Diva as to redeem what she has done centuries back for releasing Diva.

Meanwhile, "Red Shield" has revealed to Saya that she & Diva were born from monster that had wing (which is vampire bat). And the mother of them was said to have solidified during the pregenacy of the two. And this is proven that Saya's blood when reacted with Diva's monsters kill them.

As the story moves on, Saya's youngest brother, Nick is bitten by Diva. With no choice, she gave Nick her blood and makes him her Chiropteran, just like Hagi. Just as Kai decides to follow what his dad (George) has did, Nick meets Diva again. As Diva wants Nick, she transfused her blood to Nick and... Nick solidified and shattered into pieces. Saya feels regretted and mad about all that happened. Thus, she and Hagi stays behind to settle scores with Diva when the others escaped as the place is to explode...

Times has passed. And Kai thinks that Saya might not be returning. Kai has became the "Red Shield" member. On a pursue of the monsters, Kai encounters Hagi and Saya. Saya is firmed to dissociate with the group as she doesn't want to involve more innocent. However, Kai changes her mind and she is backed to the group.

The "Red Shield" continues hunting Diva. At this moment, Diva is slowly gaining recognition as a opera singer. However, she is controlled by her Chiropteran who wants to eliminate human beings. Diva will be used as the tool to awaken the monsters within human that consumed or used Delta D's product. To stop this from happening, Saya and her group are readily set to prevent this from happening.

Finally the day arrived. Monsters are awakened. Diva's concert has satellite broadcasting and the world is about to flood with monsters. Fortunately, "Red Shield" managed to stop the broadcasting and prevented more of the awakening. However, the theatre where Diva's concert held is filled with messed killing. Saya and Diva begin their killing while the rest of "Red Shield" are out to kill the monsters...

Saya has managed to solidified Diva and meaning, Diva is dying. However, Saya is upset. After her sister's death, she has to end the lives of her two nieces (that Diva has given birth). And then, ending her owns. This is Saya's and Hagi's promise. At the last moment, Kai arrives and put everything on a hold. Hagi agrees that Saya should live on with the nieces. Just as Saya decides to stay alive with Hagi & the rest, Diva's Chiropteran appears. At the same time, the theatre is to be blown to destroy all the remaining monsters. Meanwhile, Hagi hold onto the Chiropteran and wants Saya to live on. The ceiling crashed onto Hagi and the Chiropteran...

Back to Okinawa. Saya has returned schooling. There's a celebration held at Kai's and Saya's restuarant (inherited from George). Saya is weakening and she faints out. Fortunately Kai arrives in time. Saya requests to go to her tomb where she has once fallen asleep for years...

Several years have flied away. Saya's nieces visited her at the tomb with Kai. Kai noticed a rose tied with a blue ribbon...

Nanami Takahashi welcomes the start of her high school life with great expectations of making as many friends as possible. There is much talk among the girls about a popular boy, Motoharu Yano, who has 2/3 of the class liking him. Nanami is completely clueless of who Yano is until the day of the class nomination when she made a fool of herself by calling the name of her new friend wrongly. It turns out that Nanami has actually met the guy himself along the corridors (unaware of his true identity) and Yano has provided Nanami with a random name, resulting in the embarrassing incident in class. Nanami was mad at Yano for tricking her, but subsequently, after a few encounters with him, she begins to see Yano in a different light and starts to find herself liking him...
