I had several years of working experience in open air tunnelling works and near shore structural design. I was working with private enterprises during my short 3 year Civil Engineering career. They were the Taisei-Shimizu-Marubeni Consortium and Albert L P Loh Consultants. My experience also includes the design of steel structures and floating foundations.
I joined the Ngee Ann Polytechnic since 1988. I started with the Computer Centre. My portfolio started off with supporting engineering software, to managing computer laboratories, UNIX and WinTel servers, then on to managing eLearning and setting up the campus helpdesk. Now I am with the Teaching & Learning Centre. I am a Manager of the Mobile eLearning (MeL) which consist of the "Student-own-a-notebook" scheme, WiFi Campus & eLearning (Blackboard).
My academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Information Systems & Computer Science (NUS) and a Bachelor of Science in Civil & Structural Engineering (NTI 85).
