It was with great delight that Little Artists welcomed Prof. G A Dandekar one of the top contemporary painters in India,  to its studio on Aug 8 & 9, 2007.

Born 1949 in Maharashtra, India, Prof. G.A. Dandekar is a faculty member of Sir J.J. College of Applied Art in Mumbai, India. As a painter, Prof. Dandekar tries to encapsulate his memory into his canvases. These memories are depicted within a number of colourful human subjects, reflective of his youth in the vibrant city of Sangli, Maharashtra. Prof. Dandekar’s paintings are well-known to have caught the verve and rhythm in the lives of regular village people.
