ME Class ’90 4th Reunion
By Ngai Fong

We had our 4th reunion gathering on the 21st November 1998, at the Fort Canning Country Club. For convenience to all parents the organizing committee opted for afternoon hi-tea instead of the usual Saturday night dinner. There were about 50 adults and more than a handful of children turned up at the gathering. This time round we had a record number of five lecturers to grace this bi-annual affair with us. It was really our pleasure to have them with us.

From the picture below, I am very sure you would agree with me that everyone enjoyed the afternoon together.

The highlight for the day was the lucky draw. The prizes were four Chinese paintings brought all the way back from Suzhou, China, a courtesy from Kay Teck. Here are the four lucky winners.

The first mysterious winner ……… Guess WHO???? Sorry, no prize for the right answer. See the little girl in the foreground? Isn’t she cute? She is little Shiueh Chin posing for the camera.

Fortunately the other three winners were not camera shy. They were Tee Peng, Kang Keng and Fong Lin. In the foreground of the top picture are Piak Phuang and family.

So the event ended with an update of all our shapes and looks, see what I mean …..

How many names can you remember? Now, here is the ME Class ’90 extended family photo.

And here is the organizing, Lim Gee Yean being the chairman …

Did you all notice the decoration in the background and the theme of the reunion? Who says engineers are square? See how creative our fellow ex-classmate Philip Tan is. He was so dedicated that he took one day of his annual leave to prepare all those things.

Until then, see you at the next REUNION, year 2000. Make sure you come. You do not know how much you miss !!!
