A Narrow Escape

One evening, Susan was jogging in the park alone. There were only a few people in the park.

Suddenly, a man jumped out of a bush in front of Susan. He had large glaring eyes and a missing finger on his right hand. Susan was very frightened.

Before Susan could scream, the man covered her mouth and gagged her with a piece of cloth so that she could neither scream nor talk. Susan tried to run away but the man tripped her. Then he tied up her legs and pushed her into a big van. He quickly slammed the door shut and got into the driver's seat.

As the van sped off, Susan saw that there were two other men with three other girls in the van. The three girls were all tied up while the two men held onto them. Susan and the three girls were frightened and cold. The girls looked out of the window.

Suddenly, Susan saw something that surprised her. There was a police car right behind the van. She attracted the attention of the policemen by banging her hands against the side of the van. The police officers saw her and knew at once that she had been kidnapped when they saw that she was gagged. They immediately stopped the van, arrested the men and let the girls free.

The girls were sent back to their homes. As the girls slept safely in their own homes, it was the kidnappers' turn to look out of the window. This time, it was the prison window.
