This is somewhat like a diary of sorts of the experiences at the chalet from my perspective. If you wish to add any remarks/comments/thoughts about the chalet, just email me @ anttt@singnet.com.sg! Phew~... FINALLY arrived at Pasir Ris...    ...   Where is Downtown East??? Urgh...

OK... Found Downtown East and the chalet's location. But 4 whole hours before Dorothy and gang arrive to check in. Think I will go for Burger King and then some LAN gaming.

Got into the chalet area. Sat down to wait.

Gang arrives, some carried food, some carried equipment. Eugene (Bowen?) carried a leaking tub of curry...

Everyone got cozy, some watch TV, some listen to CD music.. Escape Theme Park is just behind our chalet. Abruptly, it started to rain. ARGH! Our barbeque was to start at 7pm later!!!

Preparation of foodstuffs and other BBQ items got underway. Everyone chipped in, I sat around and watch. ;p

A few p'ple decided to go over to Cheers® to buy some needed items. Eugene, Bong, Zhen Jie offered their services. Suddenly my P3K bike became useful. Almost crashed into others/trees while transporting back the stuffs a few times.

Gals and some of the guys realised that curry tasted very nice with bread. Impromptu feast thus begins.

6pm+ Dec 2nd 2001
Rain started to subside. We were disappointed when we heard that Ms. Chee couldn't make it due to the rain.  :(  Several people went off to rent bicycles for night cycling later.

BBQ begins despite a bit of drizzling. Some difficulty was experienced while setting up the fire. I failed.  :<  But thankfully, Eugene manages to get the fire started nicely and soon enough, made it ready for cookin' some food~

Some chicken wings were ready. Food continues to be served. Geraldine, Rudy, Joanne and her guy friend arrives around this time. Seats and tables were quite wet so had to wipe them dry before we could use them.

7:30pm+ (8pm?) 2nd 2001
Ms. Tan arrives~* ...and immediately requests for a place to sleep. o_O  Some of the p'ple shows her to our chalet room.

Still merry with drink and feasting. A change of shift of 'chefs' was made. Mr. Chai had not arrived yet.

More food and fun. However, the mood was spoiled when we saw how a mother brutally punished her son over at another BBQ area. I thought I heard Bowen said, "Damn bitch." Couldn't agree more. it was really shocking the way she repeatedly hit the poor boy on his head and scolded him for a small mistake. I myself stared at scene. So did a few others. Think the women finally got the message and after awhile, she stopped.

Ms. Tan says 'bye' and left. We still didn't see Mr. Chai! Meizhen asked for Yvonne's help to learn how to cycle. I tagged along too. Think I wasn't of much help. Meizhen probably would have learned how to cycle, just that the bicycle she used was not suitable for her.

Mr Chai finally arrives. With his pregnant wife. (???) Shock turns to glee I guess. (Man.. he is really 'power' or what..) After some chatting, the Chais taken their leave. BBQin' still ongoing @ this point. Melody, Dorothy, Winnie, Chun Zhao, Joanne and her guy friend had to leave at this point.

Some of the guys (including me), went for a round of cycling around Pasir Ris Pk. Came back at around 11:50pm

DAY 2
12am Dec 3rd 2001
A group prepared to get ready for Night Cycling while another group had gone down to the beach.

Roughly the time that the group who had gone to the beach for a walk had returned home. The girls in that group had difficulty reaching for the key that YihHaw had hidden above the door.

5:15am Dec 3rd 2001
Everyone had returned from the Night Cycling. The noise we made woke up the other group which were sleeping (Opps.) For some reason, I had not bathed when I had a chance and had to wait with the others later on. I laid in a corner of the room and without realising, fell into deep sleep.

6am Dec 3rd 2001
Daphne and Jacinta had to leave. Leonard left around the same time. Geraldine went to Changi Airport to set Rudy off.

I awake from my state of unconsciousness. ("Wahlaueh Thomas, your snoring is damn !@#%* loud!")

All the guys + Heather and Shi Ting went for lunch.

Eugene, Lewis, ChoonKee and Bowen went to Escape theme park. I went for some LAN gaming.

Went back to chalet. Guys not back yet.

Watched some TV with the others.

The guys return from Escape. ("Wah! Very fun man!") Eugene had gone home.

Went to play some pool with the guys. CK was generous enough to treat me. Had a good start at first but got nervous and slipped up.

Went over to Burger King to pick up Lewis.

DAY 4
12am Dec 4th 2001
Almost everyone who were still @ the chalet had gathered back @ the room. I decided to get some sleep as I was going to another friend's chalet the next day. The rest had some wild fun playing various card games thru the night.

I couldn't sleep and got up. Fun and games still ongoing.

Some of the people have already drifted off to slumber land. Others are also preparing to get some sleep. For some obscure reason, I went over to Cheers® and bought 2 cans of coffee.

Came back with coffee. Almost everyone had fallen asleep.  O_O  Some, like ZhiHui and ChoonKee, were sleeping in very awkward positions, which meant that some of the girls had to kick/whack/punch/move them in order to get some place to sleep. Bong didn't get a good place to sleep on the bed, and opted to sleep on the floor instead.

Silence fills the air. I am the lone one awake. Bong was moving all over the room trying to get some sleeping space.

'5 Guys and a Gurl' comes on. The sun begins to rise. I begun to pack up and prepare to leave.

Thomas leaves behind a goodbye note and left the chalet.
