TRENT VALLEY WAY
Section One
North start
Long Eaton--Clifton Bridge

The Trent Valley Way starts at two points either side of the River Trent. The north start is at Trent Meadows car park. where the walk leaves by the exit track opposite the entrance.


It then follows the path below the grassy bank, and passes over the green arched bridge across the lagoon


Continuing ahead the Trent is reached , where the path turns left following the river.


Eventually passing into Notts at an old hedge,we pass chalets and moorings on the opposite bank.


Ahead and to the right is the village of Barton-in-Fabis.


Numerous small chalets are passed.


The tow path reaches Beeston Marina...


...where several river craft are moored


The top of the weir is visible


The Western end of the Beeston Canal at Beeston Lock



The white lock bridge is crossed


...and soon a small black and white bridge also


The river bank is regained...


...soon after the weir...


...and followed for 2.5 miles to Lenton Lane...


...and across Clifton Bridge to Clifton Lane to join the route from Thrumpton.
