The lights are out,
It's time to sleep.
Moving in the dark,
Into bed I creep.
Closing my eyes,
I toss and turn.
Unable to rest,
For it still burns.
In the day,
They came for me.
Locked in iron grasp,
I cannot flee.
Demons in white,
Eager to feed.
Draining my life,
Laughing as I bleed.
I'm a specimen,
An abomination.
Child of experiment,
His new creation.
Slowly the pain subsides,
My world starts to fade.
Falling into repose,
I ease my hate.
I start to dream,
Leaving all behind.
Escape to another world,
Where they cannot find.
Morning breaks,
It's a new day.
So reluctant to wake,
Dreams kept reality at bay.
A cycle ending,
Another loop beginning.
Never changing,
On and on unceasing.
