Once you basked in glory most high,
Stalwart warrior, a lord of war.
So proud, you stood aloof,
Feared and exalted.
Yet, you bore a legacy most vile.
Child of utter desolation,
A holocaust from beyond the sky.
You, became the unwitting sacrifice.
Fallen from grace,
Into infinite night.
You hid from the world,
Shrouded in shadows, a sanctuary.
Eyes closed in the sleep of innocents,
You abided your time.
Waiting ever stoically
For the birth of a god.
Ascending from the darkness
To challenge the light.
Rose a one-winged angel,
Doomed to die for naught.
His blood warm with life,
Fell like crimson tears upon his face.
Defeated at the hands of an unworthy nemesis,
He carried his hatred to the end.
