My story has ended,

The words falling into silence.

Soon I will be forgotten.

Life was too brief,

A rose that withered

With the first touch of winter deep.

How does it feel to be loved?

A sad question I knew

That will never be answered.

A moment in time,

We passed each other by

Are those tears in your eyes?

Leaving this world

Without saying goodbye,

I thought I hear you cry.

Turning back, I saw

Your lips that spoke my name,

Asking me to stay.

I reached out my hand,

Wishing I could touch your face

Even as I slowly fade away.

I shall live on forever

If only in your memories

As long as you remember me.
